Proferrin ES Iron Supplement - 90 Tablets

I was taking two kinds of iron - non-heme iron which I had to take on an empty stomach, definitely not with calcium supplements, and Proferrin, which is heme iron, which I could take any time, including with food and calcium supplements.The non-heme iron complicated my life to an unacceptable level. I have had bariatric surgery, so I take lots of supplements, and I have osteoporosis, so I take even more calcium than the bariatric surgery would necessitate. I was conforming my life to my supplement schedule, and it was a pain. So I asked my dietician why I had to take two kinds of iron, and the answer was that the heme iron was more expensive, so we would keep that to one a week, and would rely on the less-expensive non-heme iron the rest of the week.I decided that getting my life back was worth spending more on iron and went to one Proferrin every day, and it turned out that it was NOT more expensive, because I was getting the results I wanted with one capsule taken with breakfast instead of lots of capsules taken at weird times of day. I do take it with food to guard against stomach upset. I don't know that it would upset my stomach if I didn't take it with food, but it doesn't hurt to do it this way, and so far I've had no upsets.I get a yearly blood test to make sure my nutrient levels are what they should be, and my iron has been fine ever since I started taking Proferrin. Now I just need Amazon to make this a subscribe and save item!

Proferrin provides a great iron supplement without any of the annoying side effects you get from other iron supplements. As someone who is prone to anemia I definitely recommend this product.

Proferrin is an excellent supplement for people who have had gastric bypass surgery. It boosted my energy levels within weeks. I feel better than I have in years. There is no stomach discomfort.

For those who have had bypass surgery and suffer from chronic low iron, this will get the iron into your bloodstream. My iron count went way up after using this product for 2 months. I used to go to a hospital to get an IV drip of iron once a year,.

I'm so disappointed! I have been trying to raise my ferritin levels for a long time. My doctor recommended this supplement, which is much more expensive than the others I've tried. I just knew this one would be the one to work for me, however my ferritin only went even lower while taking this supplement. This is a huge disappointment :( Don't waste your money or precious time on these.

After reading the ingredients I wouldn't give this to my dog much less a family member. Do you really want polyvinyl alcohol or polyethylene glycol, or yellow #5 and many other ingredients that may cause cancer or illness, I sure don't. I never even opened the bottle after reading that all of these questionable ingredients were in it. We will stick to the Argentine Dessicated Liver.Colorado Biolabs should be ashamed of themselves for adding all of this junk to a product that is supposed to enhance health.
