We have used them also for long walks and trips and if you fill them with ice and fill it several times with water, it maintains the cold for a looong time. So happy with this purchase. The only thing is that one of them fell down a couple of times and the lid was broken, so it will be nice if you can buy a pouch to carry it

**Q: Does the spout lid stay up/open? So when you un-screw the lid and lift it off and tip the bottle back to drink, will the lid fall on you?**
A: The spout opens and closes with significant resistance. Whatever position you put it in, it stays there. I have a few of these. The seal well and stay cold surprisingly long. I fill with ice and water at night and the ice will last into the next evening with the spout closed. My first one lasted about a year before the ice starting melting by morning. For the price I bought a few more.

I bought two for my children, especially for the hot summer in Dubai, and you know what? Even after school, when I arrived home, they showed me their bottles and even some ice were still there. That is amazing. We have used them also for long walks and trips and if you fill them with ice and fill it several times with water, it maintains the cold for a looong time. So happy with this purchase. The only thing is that one of them fell down a couple of times and the lid was broken, so it will be nice if you can buy a pouch to carry it
