I’m pretty new to gyokuro, but this Senbird version genuinely impressed me. The moment I opened the package, I could tell it was sealed properly and kept incredibly fresh — the aroma alone made me feel like I was getting something premium. The leaves look vibrant, the quality seems excellent, and the flavor is smooth, rich, and calming even for a beginner like me. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this turned out to be a great introduction to high‑grade Japanese tea. I’ll definitely be buying more.

Senbird Tea’s Gyokuro (Isshin) has quickly become one of my favorite teas. It is smooth, gentle, and beautifully balanced, with a subtle sweetness and a soothing, comforting flavor. Taking the time to prepare and enjoy a cup feels like a small daily ritual that brings a sense of calm and relaxation. I am very happy to have discovered this tea and would gladly recommend it to other tea lovers.

The aroma right out of the bag is rich and inviting. Once brewed, the tea delivers a gentle sweetness that lingers on the palate, and I appreciate how low the astringency is; even on subsequent steeps it stays smooth and easy-going without the sharp bite you can get from some other greens. Flavor-wise it leans into that refined umami you expect from Gyokuro, but it’s balanced by the natural sweetness and silky mouthfeel which makes every cup enjoyable. The cost-to-quality ratio is decent: while not the most premium Gyokuro out there, for daily sipping or sharing it holds its own. If you love aromatic, sweet, low-astringency Japanese greens, this is a tea worth trying.

As someone who had to stop drinking coffee due to medical complications, finding a good alternative hasn’t been easy. Senbird Gyokuro is easily one of the best I’ve tried. The quality is excellent, with an amazing aroma and smooth, flavorful taste. It gives me that clean, refreshing energy boost I need without reaching for coffee. Definitely a tea I look forward to drinking every day!

New to real tea and wow it’s in a whole other world compared to the tea bags from the store I’ve been using so rich and makes me feel amazing worth the money for a quality product!!!

I like the smooth flavor of this tea. I bought a small electric kettle that you can select a lower temp around 130 degrees. I add a squeeze of honey and it's a nice change from coffee.

Excellent flavor but do the math on how many servings you’ll get for the price. 1st steep is best, but I enjoy 2nd and 3rd as well. Beyond 3 steeps isn’t for my enjoyment. For this price point, I expected whole leaves, but this mix is cut with some dust. I also misunderstood the size per serving, which was my fault, but know that 50g tin / 3g per 4oz. I drink large cups (10oz) so I only get 7x of my sized servings which makes this a bit costly for it to be cut leaves. But all in all, great product, thank you.
