Brews great tasting coffee!
This is a solid coffee maker. We purchased this in 2023 and are still loving it. We appreciate that it will grind the beans fresh before brewing a pot of coffee, which provides really great tasting coffee. We also love that we can just brew a K-cup of coffee if we don't want to brew a whole pot. Overall, it brews a very easy to drink pot of coffee, not too weak or too strong. You can definitely hear the grinder when the carafe side brews, but I don't feel like it is "too loud"; it's comparable with a standard grinder that would work separately. Be aware that you will have to clean out the grinder with every use. I don't find that it is cumbersome to clean, but it is just part of the routine. There are two water reservoirs, one for the carafe side that holds the amount for a full pot of coffee, and then the "pod" side holds up to 40 oz. of water but has to have a minimum amount (8 ounces I think) for that side to be able to brew. I will also add that we had an issue with the way ours works and I really appreciated that the customer service team was very helpful in addressing this concern. That in and of itself makes me want to continue to work with this company.

Wanted to love this one bluntly honest review.
I wanted to love this coffee maker but it’s just not a very good design or is it convenient to use. Whether using coffee beans or already ground the grinder has to be unassembled and cleaned each time as it warns of rust on the blades. The K cup side will overflow quickly when filling as theres a little hole in the back and no way to know how much water is in there. The K cup side has an issue with shutting all the way and will not function unless you push down on it really hard and continue to hold as your coffee is brewed. This model is just not up to the Cuisinart standards in my opinion. Theres no back light so if it’s dark in your house you’ll have to turn lights on to be able to see the display. Theres no way to know how much water is in this coffee maker. Theres a lot of parts to clean when using grounds for making coffee. On the plus side this coffee maker does make a good pot of coffee that tastes good. It just takes more of my time to get it all cleaned up and ready for the next time. I feel like it’s a poor design and at only 3.5 months of use is having issues getting it to make a cup of coffee. Save your time and get a different model, as I am.

Id honestly give it 3.5 stars if I could
First-it makes a great cup of coffee. Grinds the beans nicely and is easy to clean afterwards. So far it has worked with all pods both keurig and off brands. My only two complaints are the separate water tank for the single cups is not seen from the side like the pot side is -you can't tell how much water is left and it's hard to see the water line inside because it's all black. The second one is the display in front does not light up and is hard to see. I still have not figured out how to make a pot with 8 or 10 cups - it only makes 12 -it could be somewhere in the programming I honestly haven't read the instruction manual all the way through. Still it's a very good coffee maker it's just these little annoyances that I have to get use to.

Out of the box coffee maker, grinder, single serve (K-cup)
Tested only for 24hrs, at this point- coffee easy to make, understanding the grinder portion- easy, taste of fresh coffee- good.. Easy to follow directions, only complaint and not even worth a deduction, just something to be aware of- the grinding chamber- LOUD... other then that, no complaints, good coffee, does what it's supposed to do. Yes, you have to clean the grinder, but seriously- ok, maybe it takes 30 seconds...and yes you have to either throw out the filter (paper) or clean out the gold filter... I prefer the simplicity in throwing out a filter. Overall- sure, there could be a few things easier (for convenience) but not a show stopper. Removable water reservoir would be nice, water level meter on the kcup side would be nice, quieter grinder... But it does what it's supposed to do, grinds and makes fresh coffee... First product of this type for me (with added grinder) and I can say at this point- yes, I enjoy it, well done, hope it serves for a long time.

Mixed bag
So, here’s the deal, fellow coffee lovers: I got tired of my single-cup brewers dying after about two years consistently and sprung for The Mega Machine. I’m a professor and when I have negative feedback for a student then I always start and end with something positive. Let me begin by saying that I really do enjoy the fresh ground-and-brewed coffee that you get when using the carafe. Now for the negatives: 1. I have to unplug the machine after every use because if, like me, you like to leave various things open to air dry (I don’t want a moldy coffeemaker, do you?) then all sorts of lights start flashing and the machine won’t turn OFF when it registers that something is amiss. I can’t use any of the handy programmable features since I can’t leave it plugged in so every morning my coffeemaker is the machine version of Drew Barrymore in “50 First Dates.” 2. You must remove the grinder after every brewed pot even if you don’t grind anything because it gets chock full of moisture. And when you DO grind then said moisture totally gums up the works and a bunch of your fresh grounds don’t slide on down into the brewing basket. 3. Speaking of the grinder - what a disappointment it was to discover that it only works in tandem with the carafe! Want freshly ground beans to use with the single cup feature? Then you’ll need to have your mortar and pestle at the ready because the on-board grinder lives on the opposite side of town from the single-cup brewer and they’re not on speaking terms. 4. If you’re a tree-hugger and want to use your own coffee in a reusable single-serve pod then have fun finding one that works with this machine! It says that it’s compatible with “most” reusable k-cup filters but I tried three different ones and they all resulted in water running around the outside of the filters and dribbling out - sometimes into the cup but mostly all over the counter. The one DIY reusable pod that works with this coffee maker is NOT included with the machine. You need to spend another $12 on the official Cuisineart HomeBarista pod (conveniently available on this very site!). I don’t believe in single-use k-cups so, again, a bummer. 5. If you enjoy playing guessing games then you’re going to love trying to figure out how much water is in the single-cup reservoir. There’s no gauge on the single-serve side of town (even though there is one on the carafe side - but you don’t need that because you fill the carafe with the water you need, using the cup markers on the actual pot, and pour it in; redundancy for the carafe and nothing for the pod - the injustice of it all!). In the highly likely event that you overfill the pod reservoir then good luck avoiding electrocution as the excess water pours out of the hole in the back of the machine and all over the power cord that’s plugged into the outlet. I kid you not. 6. If you’re out of water then a water drop icon appears on the world’s smallest, darkest display. Backlight, anyone?! Not here. Have fun with THAT! To summarize: brewed coffee yummy. The rest of the many bells and whistles will leave you wishing, as I do, that I had purchased a different machine. Or, for that matter, three machines: one to brew a pot, one to make a cup and a grinder, which would have cost considerably less when purchased separately then the price tag was for The Mega Machine.

Definitely would buy it again
I was debating to order this coffee machine based on the reviews. Well I am glad I did. I have no issues whatsoever. Everything works as it supposed to. I also purchase the reusable filter cup and had no issues running over etc. They recommend not filling it with more that 2 1/2 scoops of coffee (incl with the coffee machine). The water compartment on the left side is no issue with me. I fill with my left hand resting the water carafe on the edge of the coffee machine to have a more steady hand. The coffee grinder has moisture in it, it’s right next to the water reservoir so steam is expected. The grinder is easy to take out and I let it air dry or wipe it dry. Coffee machine will not work without the coffee grinder being in place I love the machine and definitely would buy it again

Good coffee but poor quality of components.
I originally purchased this coffee maker in March of 2023. It did not work out of the box, so I called customer service and had a very pleasant conversation which ended with them sending me a new coffee maker. I have enjoyed it, but as other have mentioned it is difficult to clean and maintain. It made good coffee so I didnt mind especially since I could set it up the night before and have freshly ground beans and good coffee. This morning it burst all over my counter tops. I had to clean that up and take the bottom of the maker off. The bottom vent was completely rusted under the heating element. The water tube had separated which caused the leak. I was able to get the hose reconnected, but with the amount of rust I do not want to put it back on my counter top. I loved the taste and convenience, but the quality of the components and the longevity of the product does not make this a good value. I recommend looking elsewhere for a better grind and brew coffee maker.
