Is the fruit a soft or hard plastic?

Hard plastic but not super hard

Manufacturers statement of safety seems to be missing. Does this product meet USDA standards for child safety?

I am not sure. My grand daughter loves them. She has never gotten hurt by them. They have not cracked when she has stepped on them, she has chewed on them a lot. The color has not came off. Now she plans to share them with her new baby sister. Hope this has helped you.
