Beautiful lightweight knives, sharp, thin edge perfect especially for great control to chop vegetables. The thickness rating is low only because they are SUPPOSED to be thin knives. They are well made. To note: Our order was delayed for longer than expected but they are from Thailand and due to ordering them in the middle of COVID the delay was beyond the seller's control. The knives are wonderful and were worth waiting for!

I have bought and used normal kiwi knives for a while and wanted to try their cleaver. It is a great knife to use - I recommend it and the whole kiwi brand of knives. 👍

Comparing to: Santoku kitchen knife, wavy bread knives and Victorinox chef's knife. This knife is softer and needs to be honed with a rod to help it retain its edge. It is so thin that nothing sticks to it so it glides thru whatever you are cutting. Feels sharper than my favorite Victorinox chef knife. It does work on meat and even bread. It is an all around knife. And getting two is a deal for the money you pay. Con: Mentioned it is softer than normal. It is soft enough I put a nick into the blade and I never cut anything hard. You will not be worried about sharpening / honing it as even if you make a mistake, you have another. Its inexpensive enough not to worry. This knife needs mineral oil on the handle as it dries out quickly and gets to be a rough wood feel. If it came in a one pack, I would have bought another.

My wife tells me hands down, for a home kitchen these are her go to knives, and she uses no other. They are light, sharp and easy to handle and use daily in a home kitchen. We have expensive, creame de la creame sets of german and japanese made knives, but these are hands down the ones we turn to for home cooking. The price point on these are amazing, and so we also purchase these to given them away....

I love cooking and these are fantastic sharp knives that I used at a friends house in Nee Zealand and love her knife so bought some.
