He was a chef for Navy Officers, and sometimes treated them with Filipino dishes which they loved. I especially enjoyed the brief history of the Spanish, Mexican, and Philippines influence across those cultures which impacted many of the recipes that we use today. The photos in the book were well done and the recipes easy to follow. So glad that I selected this book of the several available through Amazon.
