The Little Book of Backyard Bird Songs

I sent this to my 2 year old grandson for his birthday but didn't get to see it until I visited. It is beautiful. I looked all over for a book for a youngster that had beautiful photos but not childish or too adult. I have not purchased any battery books since my 42 year old was little. Cost of replacement and the annoying sounds. I was skeptical but the reviews were spot on. Beautiful soothing sounds. He loves it. It is perfect for before sleep time. The family is getting into 'birds' so this was something for him to enjoy.

This is a board book with good overview descriptions of twelve common wild birds. As a bonus, the buttons on the right give clear reproductions of each bird's call. Even my cat likes this book. Great for all ages!

We have the previous two books in this series and both are excellent, this one is of the same quality. However, the content is not for the uk market. The online review in the description is a bit misleading saying "what's best is these are ones you find right outside your door!" I shall be returning this book.

I got this for my one year old granddaughter who loves birds. I wanted a book that provided sounds of birds we would see but it needed to be durable. This is perfect. She loves to look at the pictures and hear the bird calls.

Love love love this book. Bought for 1 year old who is very interested in birds, as well as bird calls. The book itself is sturdy, solid board-book pages, with beautiful vibrant images of the birds, along with information to read about each bird. The side panel with the buttons for the bird calls is equally sturdy, and still sometimes I get confused thinking there is a crow outside the window causing- the calls are all very high quality. It also makes for a fun matching activity- I can flip through the book and baby can look for the matching button for each page, or baby can push the buttons and then we can flip through the book looking for the corresponding pages. The only thing I would change is just down to bring greedy, as I would love to have more birds/bird calls contained in the book. If baby wants another one down the road, won't hesitate as these books appear to be great quality and prove to be lots of kinds of fun for both of us! Would definitely recommend and/or buy again.
