Long story short; DO NOT use this for an animal's UVA/UVB requirements. This is not a UVB bulb. No where does it state it is a UV emitting bulb. LED lights (generally) do not emit UVA or UVB light. I have astigmatism and lights sometimes make me nauseous. With an astigmatism you kind of see blurred stars. It can be very painful and make everyday/night task a hassle. With this beautiful led grow light I have no issues. I actually suggest putting them in any room with plants. If you are going to use energy why not provide it to your leafy friends at the same time.
