I have three married children who all have babies between the ages of one month and 2 years. I bought this crib because it was portable as we wanted to be able to move it from room to room, depending on who was sleeping over with the baby. The newborn parents want their baby in their room but the older children's parents want the babies nearby, but not in the room. Thus, I didn't want to go with a large crib in a fixed room, even though a normal size crib is larger and you can use it for a longer period of time. So I wasn't sure that I was going to keep this crib if it wasn't sturdy. We got the Cherry crib and love it. It holds my 30 pound grandson easily, and works great for the two smaller babies. The mattress lifts up for the newborn so you don't have to strain your back putting down a smaller child. The crib itself went together fairly easily and the directions are actually glued to the top of the board that holds the mattress in place, so you can't lose it unless you lose the entire crib. There is a stabilizer bar at the bottom and the crib does not shake or wobble as I was afraid it might. I called customer service to have a screw sent out which I stripped and they answered the phone quickly and took down the information without a hassle. The crib itself fold up easily for transport from room to room. I bought the three inch mattress as an add on item and was glad I did. The mattress which comes with the crib is literally useless because it's so thin. I looked at it and threw it out. However, the extra $25 for a better mattress is minimal considering the low cost of this crib to begin with. Glad I bought it and don't forget the buy a mattress pad with it in case the baby's diaper leaks.

I bought this for my infant granddaughter when she stays with me. I love the small size and it's easy to fold up and store. It's sturdy and looks nice.

I would not buy this again. It is a good size and it folds up but it's very flimsy and the varnish IS NOT kid proof. Now that my kid has teeth he has chewed all around the top railings and into the wood. The varnish comes off like nothing. The floor board is held in place by two very small pegs and could bend past them, dropping your baby on the floor when he starts jumping.This should be recalled.

This portable crib is a great value for the price. The crib arrived in a very well padded and sealed box, all parts and hardware present and in perfect condition. We chose the cherry finish just because it was the least expensive option, and it is actually quite pretty. The crib was a snap to assemble, just follow the directions and use common sense. You will need a second pair of hands to put the sides on. Otherwise one person can manage the entire assembly in less than 20 minutes. All pieces fit together perfectly; this is a surprisingly well designed and manufactured crib. The mattress that comes with it, as other reviews have noted, is pathetically flimsy. We also ordered the Dream On Me 3" mattress, which is much more suitable. I'm very pleased with this purchase and happy to have a perfect crib for my baby grandson whenever he visits. Four stars, not five because dog bed mattresses have more substance than the mattress that comes with this crib.

The crib is good and the size it’s good for our small room

We use this for vacations that we drive to. Fits in our mini van perfectly. Easy to set up and our baby loves it

I don't know what happened... I read the reviews and found it 4 stars and so ordered it. Upon receiving it it was scratched significantly on one of the end pieces that folds. I also had ordered the 3 inch mattress as recommended in some of the reviews. I was surprised when I received the crib though that Amazon and other users had recommended it because the box specifically said not to use any mattress thicker than 2 inches!! But upon an internet search found that this maker doesn't make 2 inch mattresses ... I called twice and left a message on some one's voice mail but no one ever called me back. I'm going to keep the 3 inch and decide later what to do about it. He's still using the upper level being 3 months old ... and the two inches seems just as comfy as his pack and play was so ...Upon putting it together I had a lot of problems too. I didn't find the instructions clear and the pictures were very small. A castor was bent a bit and didn't line up with a leg. The screwing in process of the latch system moved the actual latch making it difficult for it to move and lock correctly. I spent an hour unscrewing and moving and holding only to have it go back to the original place. Essentially it is sturdy and a pretty color and shape but I would have gone with something else if I didn't have to go through the hassel of returning something online ... it will serve the purpose for the sitter.I am currently using the 1 inch mattress it came in and a once inch mattress I purchased at BabiesRUs.
