After installation, on a bathroom sink, the hot water now comes out the cold side and visa versa. How do I fix this?

You may need to rotate the cartridge valve 180 degrees if hot/cold is swapped. Pay attention to orientation when taking apart.

Is this 1225 a genuine moen cartridge made in the usa, and does it come in a sealed package - please answers only from a recent purchaser - thank you

I did not get a genuine Moen part from my order on Dec 23, 2016. It came in a zip-lock type plastic bag with instructions. There was no Moen branding or copyrights printed in the instructions or on the cartridge, as is typical of all Moen cartridges. I paid for a genuine part and that is what I expect. Since that isn't what I got, I returned it to Amazon.

The warranty information is conflicting. Is this a 1 year or 5 year warranty or lifetime?

Customer service told me today 1yr warranty on cartridges purchased. Lifetime on fixtures purchased for original owner.

I replaced my old cartridge with this, but the faucet doesn’t stop at hot or cold. It just turns infinitely in either direction. What did I do wrong?
