If you’re nervous to buy - read this!
I have only used this product on my face but this is so good! I have very fair skin and thick/ full dark eyebrows. For about 10 years I have been getting my eyebrows waxed every 2 weeks at the salon which is $30-$40 a month ($360 a year !!!!!) in waxing depending on the occasion to control them. This product saves me so much time and money. Since I have fair/sensitive skin I can wax in the comfort of my own home and be red for a few hours without the embarrassing walk of shame out of the salon with red eyebrows and/or upper lip. The only thing I don’t really like is the epillation strips but any beauty store sells a variety to replace if it really bothers you that much. These are more thin cloth like and I’m used to a more towel/cotton plush feel at the salon. They work just fine but I think I want to experiment with others to see what I like best. It was my first time using wax on myself so I was a little oblivious to the fact that it gets super messy quick and if you’re not careful everything is sticky - definitely put a towel down and keep out of reach from tiny humans and pets! As far as the waxing process, I was nervous but I did small sections at a time until I felt comfortable doing larger sections. I heated the wax on high according to instructions then kept it on low (45 min from start to finish). The stick to apply is angled so before you dip in the wax look at the applicator tip to see which direction you should hold the applicator stick to apply the wax evenly. I used a modest amount of wax and placed the apillation strip over and firm pressure. When ready I pulled the strip in the opposite direction of the hair growth. I continued the process until I was done and then trimmed the eyebrows. If you make a mess on your hands or didn’t pull all the wax off it comes with a lotion that rubs the wax off and super helpful. I also think the pre-wax powder was a game changer and worth trying! Overall my eyebrows are still there and I am very happy! No break outs or irritation - just a little red for a few hours but that is normal for my skin from experience. *I don’t know how this works on the rest of the body and I don’t intend on finding out.* ☺️

Amazing Product!
I recently bought the Student Starter Hair Removal Kit, and I am absolutely delighted with the results! This kit is perfect for anyone new to hair removal, providing everything needed to achieve smooth, hair-free skin easily and effectively. The kit includes various tools and products, all of which are high-quality and thoughtfully designed. The instructions are clear and straightforward, making the entire process simple, even for a beginner like me. I especially appreciate the detailed guide that explains each step and offers tips for the best results. One of the standout features of this kit is the gentle yet effective hair removal products. The wax is easy to heat and apply, and it adheres well to the hair without causing excessive discomfort. The included pre-wax and post-wax treatments are soothing and help minimize irritation, leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth. The tools included in the kit, such as the applicators and strips, are sturdy and user-friendly. They make the application and removal process efficient and mess-free. The tweezers are also a great addition, perfect for touching up any stray hairs that might be missed. Another great aspect of the Student Starter Hair Removal Kit is its affordability. It provides excellent value for money, offering professional-quality results at a fraction of the cost of salon treatments. Plus, the kit includes enough supplies for multiple sessions, making it a cost-effective solution for maintaining smooth skin. Overall, I am thrilled with the Student Starter Hair Removal Kit. This kit is perfect! I had laser hair removal and was unhappy ...
This kit is perfect! I had laser hair removal and was unhappy with the results, so I recently started waxing again with the Sally Hanson waxing kit. I used to be professionally waxed, but I have seen it done so many times I decided to give it a try. The Sally Hanson kit worked but was messy, you have to heat it up and reheat it in the microwave, and didn't come with enough strips. It took about 3 of the Sally Hanson kits to wax legs, underarms, and bikini at $10 each ($30 total). The GiGi student starter kit comes with so much more, the cleanser and powder work really great. I heated the wax on high and it spread in and easily on my skin. The wax takes off all of the hair easily, no bruises or red blotches left behind. I only used about 1/4 of the container of wax for underarms, legs and bikini. The muslin cloth strips are so much better than the paper strips that were in the Sally Hanson kit. The wax remover cream works ok, I recommend using baby oil or any other type of skin oil you have instead. If you get wax on the floor, goo gone works great to clean it up. I like the lotion to put on after waxing also. The lid was cracked on my kit, but you really dont need it anyways, I threw it away. Overall, I am really happy with this kit. It is time consuming, but definitely less time consuming than the Sally Hanson kit because of the wax warmer. The wax is also a much better quality than the Sally Hanson wax. The Sally Hansons wax got stuck on my legs and caused bruising and red blotchiness. I have also tried the veet waxing strips and they are horrible, I waxed my underarms 3 different times and never got rid of the hair and were painful. This kit has everything that you would expect when having a wax at the salon. I highly recommend it for less painful, easier waxing without any bruising or red blotches! I was also able to wax my legs with only 1/8" of hair and it worked great!

Great Except for the Strips
The only reason I didn't give this kit 5 stars is because of the quality of the strips. I've used the kit twice since I purchased and in both times I had issues with the strips. If the layer of wax you put on isn't thin enough, the thin strips get stuck easily and start to rip. To avoid this problem, I would recommend buying this kit together with a different set of strips. The wax isn't too sticky and it's manageable, but I guess any wax could feel too sticky for starters. To avoid creating a mess I would recommend putting a collar over the can and covering the floor and the area the wax will be moved through with paper towels. The wax off that comes with the kit seems to work for me but it comes in a small container, so it won't last long. I only use it when my hands get sticky as I'm waxing. I use baby oil to remove any remaining wax off my body, which works just as fine and I can use it in larger volumes. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. It's half the price of one waxing appointment at the salon for me, and does its job well.

Wax kit review.
Love the project wax is very smooth easy to work with. I would suggest watching a kit usage tutorial before hand though. The wax takes about 30 minutes to warm up, the only issue I had with it was the wax remover it barely worked but some coconut oil took it right off. So far perfect wax.

Waxing away all my spikey stubble!
This review is for Gigi Student Starter Kit.. I was looking for a waxing kit and knew right away I wanted to go with the Gigi brand. Everyone I've ever been to for a wax has used Gigi. I have been getting waxed for about 15 years ( I am a 30 year old female). I received this wax quickly, quicker than they said I would (I have Prime). It came perfectly brand new with no flaws. That night I just had to plug it right in and get to work! It took about 25-30 minutes to fully melt the Honee wax. I started off with one strip on my leg to make sure I could tolerate doing it myself. I ripped it off and it stung a little, but clearly not badly because I went straight to my bikini area. I did a brazilian in about an hour (My best friend is a hair dresser and I know what to do from having her do it). Then I did my eyebrows and lips. This wax is sticky. The name is a clue. It looks just like honey when it is fully melted. I had to stop several times to use the wax off cream that comes in this kit. Wax-off works really well. I used a lot (like quarter sized to half dollar sized drop) to clean my hands. I put a big drop in the center of my palm, rubbed it all over working the wax off, and then rinsed with warm water and dried my hands in a towel. When I buy more wax I will probably opt for the pink creme wax. I want to tell any first timers that the first time (or if its been a long time) waxing is going to hurt. Especially if you have been shaving. When you wax, your hair grows back finer than when you shave. Shaving cuts your hair leaving a blunt tip (spikey stubble!), when you wax you are removing hair from the root, so when it grows back it has a fine tip that is soft, not pokey. As you keep waxing you'll keep removing the root, which will eventually lead to some hair not growing in anymore and never having spikey stubble. Also, you wax much less frequently than you need to shave (for me that's reason enough!). ** I bought this product for full price and did not receive anything for my review.. I just really love this product.

Hate the wax!
I absolutely HATE this wax! Sticky, messy, not even the "wax off" bottle work well. I was so excited to try this waxing set and I'm so disappointed now. Sucks I can't not even return it. Ok so while I have my legs full of coconut oil to try to remove the rest of wax I'm writing this. So ok, honestly I don't think the problem is the warmer but the WAX, I bought the student kit that came (yesterday) with the all purpose honey wax and it's terrible the worse experience I had with wax, super sticky (yeah duh, I know "honey sticky"), it never get dry or hard. So everything u touch with it gets almost impossible to be removed. I will try with the hard wax from Gigi and give it a chace. I will keep living like a homo sapiens while I get the new hard wax and finger cross to work great. I will be definitely updating my review if I get a better experience with the next one. And if is not, well I will not be recommending this kit! *****UPDATE***** So after I tried the wax that cames with the kit the soft one honey wax and hated it I decide to buy the Brazilian Hard Wax from Gigi. I was very excited to try it bc this is the kind I was used to use before the hard kind. It just get dry and you pull it taking all your hair with it. It's way less messy then the soft kind but this one particularly the Brazilian hard wax after give it the chance it just disappointed me so bad! To be a hard kind it never gets dry! Never! It's like if I wax my legs with bubble gum, I'm so frustrated now! I try already 2 different wax from this brand and in my experience both sucks!! Terrible messy, I'm still have my legs all sticky and don't even talk about my poor armpit. Now, I will have to keep looking for a better hard wax. I will absolute not recommend this brand. Make your wallet a favor and skip this one! You can thanks me later.
