Great safety ladder
Great item! I bought this safety ladder because I have trouble balancing on a standard step ladder. This product requires only minor assembly. I love the wide steps and side handrails. It's also taller than I expected, but that turned out to be a great advantage when I used it take a box down from a fairly high shelf. (The only downside is that It's a little heavy so for me it's not easy to move it around, but that's a small price to pay for its stability and sturdiness.)

Great for this 5 ft tall woman who doesn't like heights
I bought this letter because, after my ex and I divorced, I realized I would need to get pretty comfortable with changing light bulbs. But being 5 ft tall, I was going to need something to get me up there. Heights and I don't necessarily get along and I tend to get dizzy when I'm more than one step up so I knew I would need something with handles. After some research I decided to buy this product and boy am I glad I did! The handles are such a huge help for me to climb up and hold on to when I normally would get quite dizzy. With this step stool I'm able to reach anything in my garage. I can get holiday decorations down and put them up, I can change light bulbs, reach things that are very high up. I even was able to use this chair to paint a mural in my daughter's room that included painting on her ceiling. I would never have been able to do that without a product like this. And let me clarify that I'm not a tiny person. I may be 5 ft tall but I am also a plus-sized woman and I have always felt safe sturdy and comfortable on this ladder. When I was painting the mural I was up on the last or second to the last step and holding on to the handrails with one hand and I was able to paint on the ceiling for an extended period of time. After 3 years of use, this ladder has held up really well and is still going strong. I'm so glad I purchased this product and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone who feels iffy about heights but still needs something sturdy. Also, I saw someone had said that this was too heavy for them to move and I was genuinely surprised. I'm really not a super strong person. I mean, I literally need help opening jars. And I have no problem moving this ladder from place to place when it's folded. So I find it to be very sturdy and easily maneuverable and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Guarded Outlook, but Good Quality
Appears safe functionally despite the very steep angle of the stairs. This will take some getting use to and mostly negates the extra deep steps. The hand rails give an added sense of stability, but that could be a false sense. A bit heavier than comparable step ladders but that should be expected. The latch mechanism is mostly cosmetic and it not needed. I am reluctant to give it a 5 star just yet as I could easily see someone missing a step on the way down. The handrails take extra room when stored, but I was expecting that issue. Bottom Line: All step ladders have plusses and minuses. This ladder is mostly for short term use...e.g. moving stuff up several feet, not for working on for more than an hour or so, such as painting.

Wonderful indoor ladder.
This is a great sturdy ladder that gives you handles to hang onto and the steps are nice and wide, soft to the touch. You can step on them with bare feet. Wish, that I could have found this much sooner. We have a multi level home and I have put one on each level. The only negative, is that it is a little heavy, but it is also, one of the reasons, it is so sturdy. My wife and I are short, and on a normal 8-foot ceiling, we don't even need to go to the top step, to replace batteries in smoke detectors. Five stars all the way.

Safe for unsteady people
I love this ladder. It is a little heavy but even that is doable. I have dizziness and balance issues due to many concussions from accidents and previous falls off of regular ladders. I feel very safe with this ladder. I've had it for 3 years now and have not fallen once! That is a miracle for me. This is the only ladder my kids let me have. That's how safe it is! I love the large steps. I especially love the front and top handles. It is a little difficult to maneuver because it is heavy but mostly because it is long. But it's well worth it when I can get up and down this ladder safely. I recommend it to anyone who does not feel safe on a ladder and who needs this high a ladder. It's even safe on the top step which is not true of other ladders. If you never need to be that high up, you may want to consider their 3 step ladder.

Excellent and Sturdy Ladder
Although I haven't used this ladder yet, I can see that it is very sturdy and durable. It is large, but that just means it is solidly built, which I appreciate since my balance isn't what it used to be. I need to work on that, but meanwhile, it is a good feeling to have a ladder I feel secure on. I needed to replace the flimsy little ladder I bought when I was broke, much thinner, and had far better balance. I haven't attached the handrails yet, but it is good to know that I have them for the future when I need them.

Best safety ladder anywhere
We needed a safer way to get to high areas. Love this step ladder....cleaning, hanging artwork, reaching high shelves are no problem now. Steps are wider than some step stools so footing is very secure. Side rails are the best and don't get in the way of your activity. It takes some planning to find where to store it since it is substantially larger than the tiny stools we used to have, but no big deal if it keeps us safer and allows us to be able to get up high with out that fear of falling I always felt before.

Sturdy, Stable, Sooooo Useful !!!!
First,I am confused about the weight problem. We researched 4 other similar ladders that could hold less weight and they were all a few lbs heavier than this one. So for someone who wants sturdy, holds up to 300 lbs., pretty dared safe and stable you don't want a 4 lb. ladder. So for those concerned figure out what your priority is (i.e. safety, the 4th step vs. 3 steps etc.) and compare the weights. We find it perfect for our needs (my husband is 72 and I was worried about regular ladders to change the air condition filters etc.). We find it versatile and not as heavy as other ladders. We are using one around the house and the other for our RV. Now our RV is only 19 ft but it does have 2 bunks in the back. Trying to get to the top bunk to clean, store stuff etc was impossible with the itty bitty ladder that came with the RV. So I got a second one of these for that purpose. Works great! And can be really handy for on the outside of our RV as well. Great !

Good sturdy ladder
Love this ladder. Assembled with ease, and the hand rails set this ladder a step above anythingelse on the market. Especially good for the Senior crowd.
