They fit, don't mar bike finish
I don't know why manufacturers use these things but these worked well for me. Two of my Motobecane bikes with clamps that are hard to take off and impossible to keep on needed a few of these and these worked. They are plastic and they work better than metal ones, which I tried.I received these on time etc.

EZ Replacements
Yeah, Black zip ties work too, but these are the right thing. Snag a limb with your brake cable and you may be glad that the clips could break away.I have to sand a little width off these for them to fit the bosses on my carbon bike, but minor inconvenience.

They Fit SE Bikes!
Bought a couple new SE Racing Fast Rippers. SE welded on 2 cable retaining platforms down the front forks, but provided only 1 C-clip for each bike. That's not cool.....so searched around and found some Jagwire C-clips that came at a ridiculously high price. Nope! So in came Amazon and Juscycling plastic C-clips. They're virtually identical to those used by SE, and they fit very well. Problem solved!
