Almay Mascara, Volume, Length, Definition & Conditioning, Multi-Benefit Eye Makeup, Hypoallergenic and Fragrance-Free (Packaging May Vary), 501 Blackest Black

The BEST hypoallergenic mascara I've found. It gives me volume, length, and definition without ever clumping and I can wear it all day without it causing any issues. (For reference, I have severe eye allergies and bouts of blepharitis with most make-up); but Almay comes through again with an amazing product that I can actually find in blackest-black. LOVE LOVE LOVE - please don't ever discontinue!!

I used this mascara for years and I always liked it. I switched to another hypoallergenic brand for a short while, but it wasn't waterproof and I prefer waterproof. When I recently purchased the Almay waterproof multi-benefit mascara, the brush seems over-sized and extremely bushy and the formula different. I can't possible apply it without getting it all over my lid and under eye because the brush is so big and over loaded. It's clumpy on my lashes. I have completely wiped the brush clean with a paper towel to start fresh and it happen again. Something has changed. The inner mechanism that wipes the brush of excess mascara isn't doing it's job. I hate when brands change something that used to work so well. I'm just throwing it away, what a waste.

I have been buying this mascara for several years, both through Amazon and in store. I like this product. I gave it a 4 star rating, because it has been a good product. However this particular mascara packaging had the date 2017 on it. The color of the tube was solid blue, instead of the current two-tone blue. The mascara was dry and could only be applied lightly.

I love this mascara. This is a new find for me and a relief. I really dislike tubing mascara and this does not have that tubing effect. It does not have a strong smell either. The mascara wand is just what I was looking for. It’s soft and full and helps to not leave clumps. It gets even the small lashes in the corners. I was starting to have an allergy to just about any mascara I was using and it didn’t matter price range or brand. I had come to the conclusion it was the tubing mascara or stop wearing mascara. So I went on the hunt for a mascara that was hypoallergenic and didn’t tube. This is it and I love it. It doesn’t flake and get super stiff. It comes off easily with soap and water or a makeup remover. Does not leave little pieces of black stuff all over my eyes or face. But best of all, it doesn’t make my eyes water, swell, itch, or get blurry like the tubing mascara’s do. I do believe I have found my new go-to mascara. Whew!! Relieved!

I sweat and have oily skin. As I've gotten older, the oily-ness has improved but still oily. Makeup has always disappeared as my day wore on. Whether my face is eating it, or my sweat is melting it. Or maybe both because raccoon eyes is why I quit bothering with makeup altogether. As I've gotten older, makeup really helps make my eyes more noticeable since my brows and lashes have gotten ummm, lighter. So, this mascara. I love it!! It stays in place until I wash it off. To remove it, I usually use coconut oil before my shower. I also have a cream makeup remover in my shower if I forget the oil. I just wash my face and then use the cream remover. When I get out, the makeup is gone! I also have sensitive eyes and many mascaras irritate my eyes after a couple hours. This does not!! ❤️ I can use it with or without primer. I've had no issues with clumping or flaking. It goes on smooth and seems to separate my lashes well. Been using several months now and it's my favorite! Picture is after working outside on my farm.

I loved this mascara when I first tried it so I put it on subscription for awhile. It was not clumpy at all, easy to apply and easy to remove, plus I loved the look — I am a low maintenance girlie that doesn’t wear much makeup and has ZERO interest in lash extensions. The last two tubes I received were not of the same quality as what I originally ordered. The product was super thick and clumpy and I wound up trashing them and finding a different brand.

Worst mascara I’ve even purchased! If I could give it a zero rating I would. It clumps so bad right from the first use. I wasted much of the mascara wiping the clumps off before applying it. I’ve used Almay products for years but this mascara is terrible.

Perfect hypoallergenic mascara for sensitive eyes irritated by standard mascaras. I tried several before stumbling across this one. My eyes and lashes love it!

Read a bunch of bad reviews saying this was gloomy and was nearly out off, but that hasn't been my experience at all. Arrived quickly in original packaging and behaved like a new mascara. It is a buildable, so not instant volume, but goes on evenly, without smudging, lasted through some really hot days and doesn't flake or move. I've spent a long time looking for a decent reliable mascara and this is the best so far. Major plus point, it is excellent for my sensitive eyes, where plenty others have failed.

Tengo los ojos sensibles. Las máscaras de pestañas a prueba de agua en diferente medida me ponen los ojos muy rojos, muchas veces me producen comezón y otras un constante lagrimeo, todo lo cual es muy incómodo. Las máscaras lavables no me sirven porque me bajan las pestañas y se me apelmazan, dando una apariencia desagradable. Creo que he encontrado la máscara ideal para mí, porque es a prueba de agua pero realmente no me causa ninguna reacción alérgica. Levanta un poco las pestañas, no las deja espectaculares, pero cumple su función y para mí está bien.
