El Pinto Medium Hatch Roasted Green Chile Chopped (4 Ounces, 12 Pack) Review: You need this to make authentic Green Chili - I grew up in Colorado, eating Green Chili, a wonder regional delicacy, known mostly only to Colorado and New Mexico. The recipe includes roasted green chilis but if they aren't authentic ones; grown in the New Mexico Hach Valley, it just isn't quite the same. I've been in New England for over a decade and have had to make do with roasting whatever I can find (Poblanos, Jalapenos, Anaheim), sometime using canned Old El Paso roasted chilis, but I felt that something wasn't just right. On a recent trip to Colorado, and a stop at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, I decided to dig deeper, to see if I could find the real deal. That's when I found these gems on desertcart! Slightly smoky, authentically and uniquely delicious, Hach valley, freshly roasted green chilis! Also, not a bad price, considering how much you get! They are fresh roasted, not canned, but sealed in individual plastic containers with an expiration date. They have minimal additives (for longevity, and I can't taste them) and are the closest that I've come to getting the real thing, fresh out of a roaster, spinning over an open flame in North Denver. If you're like me, stuck in New England, far away from REAL Mexican food, you owe it to yourself to by them. You won't be disappointed. Also, really wonderful addition to your home made salsa recipe, or great for Instant Pot carnitas too. Hit me up, if you need a wonderful Green Chili recipe. Review: Great Green Chili if you can't get fresh roasted! - Although a little pricy, this green chili is great. Can't get fresh here in Florida so this is the next best thing. Flavor is really good. And, the size of the container is perfect for one person.

Great Green Chili if you can't get fresh roasted!
Although a little pricy, this green chili is great. Can't get fresh here in Florida so this is the next best thing. Flavor is really good. And, the size of the container is perfect for one person.

Good
Chile arrived not in a tub like the photo indicated but in individual "pudding cup" size portions. At first I was a little skeptical but the Chile is delicious and stays fresh until you need to use it for individual dishes

YUM!
Im from Texas but am also on the New Mexico border. I live in Alabama now and it is hard to find good Mexican food.

Authentic New Mexican Chile
Why did you pick this product vs others?: We had lived in New Mexico for 30 years and after retirement we moved away. We really miss New Mexican food which are enhanced by New Mexico chile. These chiles are my way to have them for my recipes.

Leaking when arrived, not returnable ๐
No yellow lids as advertised and the inside of the plastic wrap is all wet from at least one container leaking, probably because it's just the foil and got punctured easier. Tried this on vacation in another state and loved it. It is not sold locally, so Amazon was the only overpriced option. I guess I'll just get it next time I'm on vacation. Edit: I opened it up since Amazon won't let me return a defective product, three of the containers were cracked on the side and leaked everywhere. Still not sure why it's "not returnable" , as any grocery store would take back something like this.

Damn good green chile
I haven't been able to buy any green chile any where In the town that I live in, or any neighboring towns. I ordered green chile from El pinto and was surprised about how good it tasted. I will be ordering more when I'm done with this batch

Expired and Flavorless
Overpriced, but was willing to pay for my hatch chile fix abroad. The product arrived pretty much expired and with zero flavor. Will not purchase again.
