The guide bar on my stihl ms 181c is 3005 008 3913. (i realize the 000 would work, but i'm not sure about the 008.) is this chain compatible with it?

Bar is 3005-008-3913 and chain is 3005-000-3913.

Will this fit an old stihl 011 avt 16" ?

Will this fit my 16" stihl 63pm-55 3/8p-.050 chain, s?

It is .007" narrower than the 63pm and will be a sloppy fit that will cause problems and premature wear on the blade. The Oregon S55 is also a .050" and is a low kickback chain, or try the T55 which is not a low kickback and a more aggressive cut. The R55 is a .043" chain with low kickback.

Does this chain come in the stihl packaging? the sthil website does not list a 61pmmc3 chain, only a 61pmm3, no c on the sthil website.

I wrote Stihl and got this response: "The “C” stands for “Comfort” feature. In this case, that feature is reduce vibration. Several years ago, STIHL Inc dropped the “C” designation for this and other chains in our product line-up because this became a standard feature on all STIHL brand chains. The PMM is the correct description because it denotes .043” gauge, which is what you need to use on your MS170."
