It’s made of material similar to a kid's Soccer ball and has survived plenty of chewing, chasing, and rough play much better than most toys we've tried. We also appreciated that it included a small handheld pump, making it easy to inflate. The quality has exceeded our expectations, and we definitely feel we've gotten our money's worth. He had already punctured several regular soccer balls and we found this to be perfect - a ball he can grab and run with without wrecking it. He has played with it daily since December and it still looks brand-new. The key is the many tabs on the outside of the ball. They are firmly fastened and hold well for a dog of his size and strength. Dogs enjoy grabbing and/or gnawing on anything that sticks out. I've bought 4 of these. The first one for our two Dobermans and they love it. The second one I got the wrong size for my granddaughter Husky, and the husky popped it in the first 10 minutes of paying with it. I got the husky a second larger one and within a week she popped it [laughs]. Apparently, they are not husky proof. Our two Dobermans killed their 1st ball, but it Lasted over the summer but with two Dobermans playing tug a war with it one of the tabs pulled off and the air came out. They are working on their 2nd ball.
