It did mold underneath of the mat but I think my poor circulation in my bathroom was the cause of that. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy, high quality, NOT SLIPPERY WHEN WET! *by C***A on February 25, 2024* I am a returning customer and have bought this mat 3x already as it is not only sturdy + high quality, but it has an expensive look to it! It is also very affordable compared to other brands I have tried. The wood is sealed with varnish so that it looks very high-end, but the varnish does not make it slippery when wet! That's VERY important for me because I actually use this mat IN the shower, as my tile floor is rather slippery and I needed something that looked nice but would provide some traction beneath my feet. Definitely would recommend this product as my favorite amongst other 24'' x 18'' bamboo bathmats I have tried throughout the years. The only thing I will say, is that if you are planning to use this product inside the shower like I do (and plan on it regularly getting wet for long periods of time) and also like me are too lazy to clean it after every shower.... in my experience I have had to replace the mat every 7 months when the wood begins to deteriorate from the residual water damage (which I will also note is a much slower deterioration than other brands I have tried). This is definitely NOT a fault of the product or design itself, but just something that comes along with ordering a mat made of natural materials....just nature doing it's thing.
