Cooking Pleasures Professional Grade Chef Knife Ultra Sharp Lightweight 9 inch

The first few times I used the knife it seemed fairly sharp. Cut through my usual veggies with no problem. My big test is tomatoes. It did not pass the tomato test. It would not cut through the skin. I used my knife sharpener and still no dice. I took out my trusty Wusthof Santoku and it cut right through. As a secondary test I took out my Wenco Chef knife which is at a comparable price with Cooking Pleasures and it also passed the tomato test. So in general for the price this is an okay knife not great.

Got dull quick and I stopped using it 1 year after purchasing

This budget chef's knife punches above its weight. For me, it made a perfect gift for a friend which a block full of dull knives. It drove me nuts when she asked me to cut something so I gave her this and now I know there's a sharp knife available.

Purchased for a friend and he is very happy with it. Would buy from this seller again.
