...It's pure hing powder, and a lot of it for the price. You'll either love it or you'll hate it. Adding this along with garam masala makes commercial American supermarket Indian food like the company Saffron Road's dishes almost taste like the real thing.

I needed to replace onions, garlic, shallots, for dietary reasons, but avoid certain additives and fillers. This product met the need. It's a daily part of my diet now, on baked chicken, in sauces, even in tuna and salads. It adds 'something' the original vegetables didn't have. It doesn't have the "bite" of onion and garlic, or the sometimes "green" flavor, but what it adds really makes up for it. A great product and no digestive issues at all for me!

I originally bought this years ago when it was pure 100% Asafoetida. Now it has additives, but they were not clear about the change. So now I have and I can’t return this product. Wasted time and money.

One thing I hear often is that the stronger it smells, the better the quality.If that's the case, DANG.At first I thought it was okay, just kept it in one bag, but nope, the next day the room smelled like... well, hing.So I double bagged it.Then I got complaints that the room stunk with an unfamiliar smell.Then I replaced the zip bags with better ones and did four of them, and now the room finally stopped smelling of it.After all that was settled, yeah, I used it in cooking a lot. One fun use I was surprised about was mac and cheese, but I've used it in a bunch of things.

I have nothing to compare it to, but it seems fine

This is a powerful spice similar to garlic but with added notes of onion and complexity. Start slowly and enjoy its energizing effects.

This product smells and tastes like it was freshly ground. It definitely has not been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse. I use this regularly because I love cooking Indian, Middle Eastern and East Asian foods. So far, this brand has been the best in quality and freshness.I also love the resealable pouch.

C'est parce que, voyez-vous, je ne l'ai toujours pas utilisé. Vous transmettez vos sondages beaucoup trop tôt. Voilà!Le produit "Asa-foetida" n'est pas un aliment que l'on utilise subito presto. Euh! non!

The product itself is lovely, but falsely advertised. I would not have purchased it if I had known it had wheat flour in it as it was for a celiac friend. Very disappointed.

This product states on the front of the package “no common allergens “. I purchased it thinking I would be safe using it . I am coeliac and must avoid wheat at all costs, when it arrived today I was very disappointed and unhappy to see this product states in small print on the back that it contains wheat flour. Poison to me to others like me. Do not buy if you must avoid gluten!!
