attwood Standard Lift 'n Lock Anchor Control, Zinc-plated Steel

I bought one of these and then I bought three more. I revive old small fishing boats and I equip them well before I pass them on to new owners; and this is one item I put on every boat, and the new owners always notice. They work, are easy to operate and will hold the anchor when up and hanging off the boat. They do no harm to the rope. I put two on my river boat and I can operate them all by myself from any position in the boat. Sturdy, useful and priced right as far as I am concerned.

Have been using these with 1/2" anchor rope and they work great! Easy to use and have a solid lock up on our 10lb anchors.

We are very pleased with how this works. Nothing is worse then pulling up a wet rope that has been hanging in the water. Using this helps when I put the anchor in the water it has a stopper on it like a brake. Also when I pull up the rope from the water it makes so I don’t have all kinds of wet rope slapping all around on me. It pulls in nice and easy and neat. I am so glad I bought this for our boat. Buy one you won’t regret it. It is nice and sturdy. The only thing I would suggest is make the wheel a little taller and the groove deeper so the rope doesn’t slip over it when it is diagonal.

I have used this anchor control for 3 years. After buying this lock for the second time, I thought it was time for a review. What good does this thing do? 1. Allows me to drop anchor off the bow while I'm sitting in the back of the boat. 2. Locks the anchor line so there is no need to tie off. 3. Allows me to raise anchor with just a pull on the line. This is a great little gadget I wouldn't want to be without.

Just got it but won't be able to install until spring time. Looks good and solid enough for a 14 foot fishing boat with 10 pound ancor. It's not big so easy to mount on front of small boat.

A bit small for my big boat..it should work for my little boat...will make it work awesome

I've also got the Scotty plastic type and this one works very well. The location to mount it required the shorter size.
