Should the tape be on glass side or screw side?** A: I put the plate on the mirror side but I put the screws on the inside of the mirror. You don't want the screws showing on the outside. I can't find any information where to put the plate. The means the thickness of the plywood & glass needs no more the 5/16 **Q: Lets try this again. What is the space needed for the top and bottom gap for the opening for the door? How much space does the hinges need?** A: The gap is about 1/8 of an inch for each top and bottom totaling about 1/4 inch. But the glass takes up some space also. So your glass needs to be about 1/2 inch smaller than the opening.
