Little Search-A-Word Puzzle Book (Dover Little Activity Books) Paperback – March 14, 2012

My husband has Alzheimer's. Typical of this hideous disease, his comprehension level is insidiously and relentlessly reversing. Currently, he is intrigued with these children's word search books. Travel size, they easily fit into his shirt pocket, along with a few children's size pencils to colour the pictures. He likes taking them to Respite Care to work on during down time.Life's little surprises: three years ago, mathematically gifted, he was doing high level sudoku; now these books for youngsters give him much pleasure. They seem to have the perfect blend of mental stimulation and relaxation. Sadly, just five months ago, he was devouring the high level adult "challenge" series, but gradually the children's series became more appropriate to his changing skill level. I'm happy that they give him pleasure and glad I found these soon enough for him to be able to enjoy.

This easy find-a-word puzzle is a great teaching resource.Reinforces spelling words and vocabulary.Works great for teaching and entertaining my 7 year old granddaughter.I am a returning satisfied customer.

My kids love this but its just small. Thought it be a little bigger! otherwise great for on the go in the car!

My grandson is 4 years old and learning to read. This book is a perfect introduction to word search puzzles while strengthening his reading skills. Each page has only 3 pictures/words to solve so it's not too long or difficult for them. Successful solving results in increased confidence and self esteem.

Perfect for the little ones. It is never too early to have the children recognize letters and then letters in a row.

These little books always get five stars from me. Perfect for little hands. Easy to take on the go. The words in this book are easy enough to find for my son who is learning to sound things out.

So, check the dimensions when purchasing. This "little" book is actually very tiny. I have bought bigger books for about the same price- so although the price itself is very cheap, I don't think it is worthwhile. Good activity for kids, but they will go through it very quickly.

This little book was a great hit for my P1 child I found - he really loved doing it , it was a great first word search for him as there were only a few words to get, this was ideal for him to achieve with effort, but not too much so that he'd have to leave a page unfinished.Book size - 11 x 14.5 x .5cm (approx 60 pages and nice quality)My 4 & 6 Y.O. love the other books in the same group series - Holiday Alphabet, First Crossword Puzzle book, Pets Dot-to-dot, Mazes books...

Bought for my son as he seems interested when i'm doing grown up wordsearches. Think this is absolutely perfect as each wordsearch has only three, three letter words to find which i think is perfect for the beginner.Better than i expected. He pleased that he can do them too

bought for my nephews 5th birthday - Ideal to take when we go to resturants etc to keep him entertained while waiting for food or when growns ups are chatting. Don't know how long it will take to do these though

I My mum in law has dementia and this book has kept her occupied the adult size books she couldn't get through without loosing interest great little book

As per the title there was not much to this flimsy little book, quite a disappointment really and not worth the money or the wait.
