Calling all Dudes!, Listen up!
This steamer is LIFE CHANGING!!!. There's no other way to put it. As a dude I fully admit I'm a very lazy person and most of what I do is effort driven. I try to get by with the least amount of effort, and this steamer answers the call perfectly. MUCH less mess than pan frying or pot steaming food. You'll have to spend time getting to know your machine and how long things take to cook, but once you have a good sense of now long foods take to cook, you will never turn back to your pots and pans. This steamer is perfect for all veggies and fish (which is what I primarily use it for). It also makes the world's most perfect soft-boiled eggs and poached eggs. When cooking eggs in the shell there is no need to clean it. Just drain the water and your good. Otherwise, cleanup is no worse than cleaning the pan you used to use for frying stuff. All dudes need to get this steamer. The only 'con' I can think of is that it doesn't work well for beef (hamburgers). It cooks them fine, but they don't have the taste you get from the grill or pan. It does do chicken OK (I've only tried kabobs which were good). When doing meet I highly recommend a thermometer you can use in the steamer for real-time temp. Then, quickly turn it off and remove the lid when it reaches the temperature. Oh, forgot to mention the buttons and knob are cheap as hell (which is a bit disappointing).

Great Steamer – Easy to Use and Works Perfectly
Excellent food steamer! It heats up quickly, is easy to use, and the glass container makes it easy to see the food while cooking. Vegetables, fish, and dumplings all come out perfectly steamed. Cleaning is simple, and the digital controls are convenient. Highly recommended!

Wow! Wished I Had This Years Ago!
As many others have said "I have used a lot of steamers in my time"... though for me it wasn't that i had used many steamers.. it is just that I had purchased alot of them. Got them and rarely used them. The plastic baskets were a pain, ugly, had to figure out which one went on top or bottom and difficult to store. So my intentions of steaming food was good but rarely carried out. UNTIL I got this one! Though only have had it a few days we tested it by steaming several different items. You can see many videos about the glass and how to wash it and the lid etc. So i am going to skip that part. So, i tested first off broccoli and cauliflower. First batch was for 5 min so they were a little too done for us. So did the rest at 3 and 1/2 min... Perfect. A wee bit of a crunch and the taste was perfect! So on to hot dogs. Perfect. Then to dinner of 4 filets of Swai. Perfect as well. These were all so much easier than using our indoor grill or even the stove. Faster too. Hint though... if you are doing the manual setting make sure that once on you PUSH the silver knob in to set the time. If you do not do that you won't get an individualized time setting. We are really excited to be getting ready to cook a "low country boil" (which i prefer steamed seafood rather than boiled so this will be just darned fantastic). But in this case cooking in the glass tray without the silver lift tray will be perfect for the low country boil. Love the pause button (and reminder when you do the pause to check on the food lift the lid back first so the steam doesn't hit you in the face). The taste of all the food cooked has been better than i could have thought. No plastic taste etc. Just a fresh look and taste. Fast oh my goodness yes!! Cleanup .... easy peasey....though i did the handwash the lid, lift tray and glass tray can be put into the dishwasher as well. We are extremely pleased with this purchase on every level so far. Just wished i had found this sooner! Ps. Low country boil is in the photo. There is a recipe that comes with it for clam bake but we changed from the lobster to shrimp. Came out perfect!!

Game-changer for healthier eating
This is a quality product for people who are steaming on a regular basis. It's much easier than using a steamer and a pot on the stove-top for me. I like that I can see what's going on, so I'm less likely to overcook delicate veggies. The steamer holds more than a typical stove-top one which is really helpful and steams much more evenly. I do stay close by but there is less babysitting and less ruined food. It's very easy to use. I have used distilled and spring water and haven't noticed a difference. My two complaints about the water reservoir are that a) it's plastic and b) it can't really be opened up for cleaning. Maybe that seems unnecessary but I'd like the option. It works fast. The pre-set options work well although you really have to watch it. Mostly, I have steamed potatoes, green-beans, carrots and the like. For people who appreciate 'just-enough,' steamed veggies and delicate foods you will enjoy the precision and evenness of cooking this brings. Overall I am very satisfied and I believe this appliance is helping to improve my family's and my diet and therefore our quality of life. I actually feel that most veggies are more delicious and enjoyable steamed vs other harsher cooking methods but I HATED dealing with the stove-top steamers that always seemed so fussy and too much work. I now have no excuse to NOT steam my food: it's faster and easier than any other cooking method! I have discovered some new 'recipes too,' that helped me to enjoy old favorites in new ways. For instance broccoli rabe was a bit of a delicacy in my house, not just for flavor but because of the long process for cooking. The end result was delicious but often greasy and as mentioned very time-consuming and tedious, not to mention messy. Well, spontaneously I decided to try steaming it. I just took the bunches and plopped them on the tray closed the lid and hit start. They came out tender, flavorful and ready to eat in but a few mins! No oil or salt. We can now enjoy this delicious and nutritious veggie on a much more regular basis and I never have to worry about using it in time or not. This is just the beginning. I will be enjoying and trying new things with my new favorite appliance for a long time. One more note.. if you can find appropriate heat-proof containers that will fit I have reheated food in this.. it was not entirely cold but seems to have good results. There will be moisture accumulation if the food is exposed vs closed but reminds me of when I used to use my IP for reheating foods vs microwave or stovetop, etc. this method is much gentler though. And if you are steaming veggies water does collect at the bottom of the container and you can use that as a light broth or flavoring liquid in your recipes. Just be sure to rinse after each use. I left it once for a day or two after steaming veggies and the smell was horredous. Came right out though after washing. Be careful with the tray if you are handwashing, the perforations are sharp and I did cut myself.

Glass steamer vs instant pot
I've had this steamer for a few months now but have known about it for years and know many people who have it. The reason why I held off from buying it for so long is because I already have an instant pot that I could steam with and it's so quick and easy to use. I steam potatoes more than anything else and like to do this in big batches for the week. What made me finally give in and decide to buy this steamer is the fact that sometimes my steamed potatoes in the instant pot would come out overcooked and not tasting the best and I felt like maybe the high pressure cooking was depleting them of nutrients. For health reasons it is better to do light steaming than pressure cooking. And of course glass is the healthier option. Anyway I've been using the steamer for a couple months now and I do mostly like it BUT... for anyone who, like me, has gotten very used to using an instant pot before getting this steamer, I thought I'd warn about a few things. Pros: -gentle light steaming helps retain more nutrients -glass is healthier to use than metal. And although the steaming tray is metal, I just cover that with a piece of parchment paper -I like that it starts steaming food right away. It doesn't have to take time to warm up or get the water boiling. As soon as you turn it on, it will start steaming the food at full steam within less than a minute! That is a great feature that saves time. -Don't have to worry about water running out and then your pot burning on the stove. You can just turn it on and let it do its thing, even leave the house while food is steaming and not have to worry. It will shut off on its own and if it runs out of water while steaming, it will just stop. Cons: -takes up a lot of room and is heavy because of the glass -I don't like how it's basically impossible to clean the inside of the water reservoir - there is no way to get a sponge or brush in there to scrub any kind of mineral deposit buildup over time -not as much room to steam food as the instant pot and certain big bulky vegetables cannot be steamed in here (for example artichokes or a whole head of cauliflower - I have gotten very spoiled by being able to steam these things in the instant pot in minutes!) -the instruction booklet says you have to routinely descale the mineral buildup that accumulates over time with vinegar. I have not done this yet and to be honest I don't like the extra work this is going to require. I never have to do this with the instant pot. -the handle of the steamer lid is made of metal and VERY HOT after steaming food. It stays hot for a while too so you always have to wear an oven mitt when taking the lid off and putting back on. I feel like this could be easily fixed and not sure why the company hasn't put some other kind of material on the lid handle to make it easier to use. I decided to keep the steamer even after all these cons mainly because I am trying to preserve more nutrients in my food when steaming. And so as much as I love my instant pot and think it is easier to use and way less maintenance, I do think this steamer is the healthier option.

Easy to Use and Great for Healthy Meals
This steamer is very easy to use and has plenty of space for vegetables, fish, chicken, and other foods. I really like the glass cooking container because it feels sturdy and makes it easy to see the food while it’s cooking. The preset programs are convenient, and everything cooks evenly without much effort. Cleanup is also straightforward. Great for making simple, healthy meals at home.

Would buy again!
The steaming time on this steamer is extremely fast, it’s super big so you can steam tons of stuff at once and it’s less free ! All the water collects at the bottom of the container that was caused due to the steam. It’s very stable and durable so it doesn’t move around easily, it has some weight to it. On top of that it’s mess free! The steam itself only has one temperature.

Take steaming to the next level!
I was recently visiting a friend's place and discovered this beautiful Cuisinart Cook Fresh digital glass steamer in stainless steel. I'll be honest, I've owned various kitchen appliances before and some that were my top favorite but this product blew me away completely as it has my motto for life to eat healthier. I am able to cook grains(rice, buckwheat, oats and quinoa), seafood(shrimp, lobster, scallops, mussels), poultry (chicken), vegetables (broccoli, corn, zucchini, carrots, potatoes, green beans, asparagus), and manual mode(for pasta). I love the digital display that is easy to use and navigate through, not to mention the cooking book included(so helpful and fun for a mom of 3 boys who loves to cook!!). I love that all I have to do is pour clean water in the tank and place it in the back and turn it on. It's incredible smelling all the spices, garlic, onion, chives (if you place it on the bottom of the glass dish and in the tray placing the poultry or seafood) my kitchen smells amazing during the cooking process. In addition, steaming the variety of items I have tried is not only healthy, quick to make, no need to stand over the stove to cook (which means more time with my boys!!) and extremely easy to clean the glass lid and glass container as well as the stainless steel tray. I do wish the stainless steel tray was thicker in size and less bendable( just something I've noticed while hand washing it). My husband's favorite part is that the steam doesn't release up in the air and doesn't ruin our kitchen cabinets but instead the steam cooks inside leaving the protein or vegetables very soft and flavorful. In addition, we are able to easily reheat anything when needed. Doesn't take much space and easily clean up and put it away in the cabinet or leave it on the counter as my friend does. It's a classy, modern, and elegant piece! I honestly loved this so much I ordered a few for our family and highly recommend it for all our friends. It makes a great holiday gift or a special occasion! The only thing I would be considered with this machine is the plastic valve that is connected to the water reservere how long that would last (maybe needs a new design for just that portion). Something I have noticed after taking out the water reserve is that there is a tiny bit of water still in there and you must make sure to pour it out or it would cause mold and be far from a healthy option. Overall, Cuisinart you've managed to bedazzle me with this new invention!

Beware! Product voltage not for Asia 220V
Beware! Product voltage is not meant for Asia & seller did not state it in the product descriptions. I had to go through the hassle of returning it. And I have yet to receive my refund.

Great Steamer
A high-end countertop steamer. Looks awesome, easy to operate, and the food tastes great. Compared to the Hamilton Beach one I had before, the steam comes out much faster, and the all-glass removable main container is super easy to clean. One drawback is that if steaming something in a bowl, it cannot be directly put below the outlet of steam, or a lot of water will accumulate in the container. My only concern for now is how it handles the hardness in tap water after long term use.

Terrible product— broke immediately
Turned on once and then never again. What a waste of money— straight in the rubbish. Had a US plug and we used our adapter for Australian electric outlets. You should not sell to Australia if your product can’t be used in Australia even with an adapter— it’s unethical.

Excelente producto
Muy util, fácil de limpiar y los alimentos quedan perfectos. Aunque es muy resistente, solo me gustaría saber si se puede comprar la charola por separado para tener una de repuesto.

US product sold to UK
The steamer we received was clearly for the US market having a US plug attached. The warranty documentation referenced US phone numbers and the registration documentation referred to a registration website that would only accept US postcodes for the customer address. Having obtained a plug adapter the steamer was found to faulty anyway.
