Rhino Coffee Gear Rhinoware Thermometer, Stainless Steel Short (RWTHERMS)

This is an amazing little tool to have at home! Did you know that certain coffees and teas need to be brewed at specific temperatures? Well now you do! We have been using this to check the water temperature in the kettle on the stove before making coffee/tea, and it's so useful! The size is perfect to place into the nozzle of the kettle and all you do is watch the meter go up/down to your desired water temp. Highly recommend if you want good coffee/tea!

I’m old, okay? And I like a nice latte now and then. So YOU know how important that frothy milk temp is, right? But then you buy some other cheap, dinky, hard-to-read thermometer and why? Why would you do that to yourself? WHY?!? Buy this instead and breathe a calm sigh of relief because now you can read the darn thing. YES!

I originally purchased Brewista version but it seemed inaccurate, the clip difficult to move and the dial could be easier to read. This one rocks! The larger dial with clear green/red zones make it easy to get consistent microform and the clip easily adjusts to different pitchers.

Great thermometer, rusty clip! Out of all the milk thermometers I have used this is the only one that the clip rusts after the first use. It also left a permanent rust stain in one of my milk pitchers! I reached out to Rhino and they tried to pass me off back to Amazon but I told them that was not good customer service and that I would probably get another clip that rusts. They contacted me back and said they would send me another one in the mail so that is why they get another star instead of one but this time I put the clip in water overnight along with a clip from a different $5 thermometer and the cheaper clip did not rust but the more expensive Rhino clip rusted again! Whatever metal they are using for the clip is not right for liquid environments and they need to fix this or pull this item off the shelves until they do! Until then I will use their thermometer with a different clip.

Does its job by letting me know when my milk is steamed hot enough to make a latte.

I had a Rattleware thermometer for maybe 12 years before the dial's cover finally cracked. Rattleware is hard to find now, so I bought this one. Within about a week the clip that holds it to the side of your frothing pitchers started to rust. Badly. It even left stains on the stainless steel pitcher.
