Good product, great company.
This is a great product, I am editing this review because. The company not only makes a great product but they have amazing customer service a integrity in their product. They corrected the issue I had with the one bulb very quickly and effortlessly. My faulty bulb had to be just an one off,(did not see anyone else with same glue issue in reviews) because my plants really enjoy this bulb and would definitely buy from them again. Integrity and good customer is S0 important to me. I am purchasing more, yes more. My plants love this light.It started secreting glue from the center of the bulb as the day went on. Plants ended up damaged and coated with glue. I have been using my remaining bulb and it's great it doesn't get too hot if placed in the correct distant. My plants are loving it, I've had no issues if weather was nice and put plants outside be at its Sunny.

Has a lil'drip but works Great!
The bulbs work good except for one thing....they drip epoxy...The first few days of use you may find a long drop of epoxy dripping from the center hole on these. Not that you should ever touch these while in use as they are a bit hot but it may pose a risk of getting hot epoxy dripped on your hand. They stopped after about 3-4 days but was a little worry-some.Otherwise the plants seemed to love it and grew perfectly fine. They do make everything appear off color and would recommend a pair of UV glasses to protect your eyes as they may not seem like it but they are very bright and will leave you seeing spots if you don't. Turn them off if you are inspecting your plants otherwise you may miss tell-tell discoloration and it will help protect your eyes.

From University to Home: The Kyson Way
No matter what others say, which is nothing but good news/reviews, you cannot beat someone who's life involved growing plants for research, production, and fun. That person would be me and here is what I see so far with the Kyson LED:-Like all other LEDs, do not accidentally screw it into a socket or reflector assembly with the power plugged in and the light facing you- will cause a quick blindness and "shock and awe" feel. 24W may sound little, but LEDs aren't your typical light.-The wavelengths are right on point for growing the plants due to my setup being near a window for testing and the plants wanted to go to the Kyson, which shows that there is the appropriate wavelengths necessary. Key is that they did not stretch, meaning that it wasn't the intensity that mattered due to it leafing out much quicker than when set by the window alone.-Comparable to the High Tech greenhouse LEDs that were designed, rigged, and tested at the university I attended and was involved in. So $30k for less than $20, what a deal.-Lastly, the light- if you were on the edge of getting it- is starting to ressurect my lettuce plants that were vibrant when the sun was out, then disappeared for much of the NorthEast for weeks on end. So, I decided to put my new tray of 100+ new seeds under the light and saw sprouts and cotyledons coming up 3-5 days before Burpie's recommended timining.Buy it, or multiple at that matter, hook up to a solar panel during the winter and enjoy the pleasures of the equator in your own home from Florida to Chilly International Falls.From the unpaid, non-compisated, etc. 'why not give it a try' guy....Get this and be prepared to go from greenthumb to greenhouse overnight.-Matt

2 year update
I bought this in 2016 for my plants that I started inside. The plants seemed to like the light and it did help them grow. I used it for a month in the 2016 season, the same for 2017 and now in 2018 it lasted about three weeks. So all totaled I would estimate I got about 700 hours before it burned out. I don't know if that is good or bad but I thought a LED would last longer. Other than that I was happy with it.

Got a late start growing some vegetables for my garden when the nursery sold out of everything I wanted. Looked high and low for a decent grow light with positive reviews and then I found this! It has certainly exceeded my expectations and my plants are loving it! Pictures attached show the light as I have it set up but do not show plant growth. I assure you, these babies are growing good now and will be outside with the rest of the bunch very soon!I will note that the light itself claims 24w, but when plugged into a kill-a-watt meter, it is only drawing 14w. I can't imagine you would get more wattage out than you put in, but I'm no expert and the light is working as it is described. It does not get hot to the touch and I feel completely safe running it 18/24 hours a day. Be warned, as others have stated, this light is bright. Make sure you have some other light source on in the room or wear eye protection while you are working around this light or your vision will be weird for a few minutes when you first walk away from it. I feel color blind for a few minutes if I do not have another light on in the room and I am around this for more than a few minutes.If you are looking for a light to get seedlings started or just need supplemental lighting to keep those plants going through the cold months, this light will fulfill your needs, no doubt!

good nor bad. but wish the compainy great succsess
light work fine until I unscrewed it to move to another socket. That when the base broke. should of learned from the first one but the second one needed moving so it broke too. That how easy they are to break from the base. only used it to help with the light that comes in the window for part of the day. so I can not tell how good they work. update. had the one remaining light and has used it on a plant. seems to be working great. I am going to go from 3 stars to 5 stars because even tho The base is weak I moved the last one to another spot. and used care not to twist on the light but instead twist on the base and was able to move it with no problem .but the 5 stars are really from the com. because it was my fought that the light broke. in a way. so I did not expect the comp to replace them. but they did. and they make sure that I was happy customer I think they email me 3 or 4 times before I replied. to my surprise it was to send me replacement light. which I didn't ask for.so in saying this I hope the comp make in the future as good light as they are people
