Why is glycerin listed as an ingredient if the soap is made with 100% olive oil?

Glycerin is a byproduct of the soap making process. Sometimes the soap companies will scoop out the glycerin and sell it separately to make more money. Others like this one leave them in.

It looks almost square. Could this be cut to fit into a vertical soap holder?

It is almost square. Its hard soap but you might be able to cut it with a knife and a hammer. It might not come out perfect but that does not affect its functionality.

the soap is about 2 1/2 by 2 1/2. you should have no problem fitting the soap in a vertical soap holder. good luck.

They are made the same way of the same ingredients but are by two different companies ( really families that owned for centuries) Al-Shakaa family makes the Al Jamal ("the camel") and Al-Toukan family makes Muftahein ("two keys")

The Olive oil smell is amazing

The soap is of superior quality the smell is good, very natural olive smell. However it doesn’t sud well. This should be the case with most natural soaps. Overall I am glad with this purchase as I know the soap is of good quality and produced from a blessed land!
