Women Outdoor Sun Block Soft Long Arm Sleeves Fingerless Gloves

I have porphyria, which means even a few minutes of sun exposure is painful and will eventually cause blisters or hives. Before I found these, I would drape a lightweight baby blanket over my upper body while in the car. I wasn’t happy with that, since it looked like I was nursing a baby in the car. And the blanket didn’t help when I got out of the car, while walking to the store or wherever I was headed. Now I wear these sun sleeves whenever I leave the house during the day. They cover my hands to the knuckles, and my arms all the way up to where my shirt’s short sleeves hit. No skin exposed! I’ve had a few people ask if the sleeves are a fashion statement or something else, which gets tiresome, but better to answer annoying questions than to burn and blister in the sun. I love that these are a rayon knit jersey, it means they’re very soft. They only have one seam down the side of the hand and arm. The first few pairs I bought were a lesser quality. The top and bottom edges were raw serged, no proper finishing. It meant there were a lot of loose threads and unraveling seams to deal with. I recently bought another few sets and they are now MUCH higher quality, with properly hemmed edges. The thumb hole is still raw serged, but no issues thus far with threads unraveling or fraying. These really are a game changer for me. I wish they had more colors to coordinate with my wardrobe, but that’s a minor complaint. I usually wear the heather gray, or the light peachy pink, which is fairly close to my skin tone. The light tan is pretty close in color from a distance, too. Note: The dark gray absorbs heat, so in the summer, they get way too hot. I assume black and other very dark colors would be the same. If you’re wearing them for sun protection, stick with the lighter colors. Five stars, highly recommended!

I have tendinitis and my occupational therapist made me custom splints. The tube liners she gave me are the typical ones with raw edges that immediately unravel, and the weave catches on the velcro fasteners. I couldn't help but think I could find something better on Amazon. I tend to carry extra weight in my arms, so fit was a concern. These fingerless gloves actually have a LOT of stretch - I was able to pull them all the way up my arms. They DO tend to roll down at the top, but I prefer to pull them back over the splint to cover the velcro, anyway. The fabric is soft, doesn't catch on the velcro, and the hemmed edges are holding up nicely, so far. I washed them in a delicates bag and air dryed them, and they came out looking like new. If you want or need fingerless, long gloves, these are a nice option. If you need a liner for a hand/wrist splint, these are wonderful.

Comfortable material. Appears to be decent quality. Great fit. Looks and feels good. I would recommend these.

I like pretty much everything about these arm sleeves. They add just a touch of warmth when you need it & don't seem to get hot when you don't. I do consider myself a an average build but in this case may have benefited from ordering a smaller size. They stayed up ok when I first put them on but then started to slip down. It wasn't anything I wasn't able to fix with a black hair tie. But I'm not sure how I feel about using rubber bands when wearing them. Otherwise I really like how they look & feel.

I wanted to completely live these. They are nice and looked great with the sweater I bought them to go with but…. They stretched out pretty fast and by the end of the day, I was not able to keep them in place. If they had a higher percentage of elastic to help them retain their shape, they would be a 5 star for me

Came on time and in perfect condition. I am a larger woman and my upper arm measures 14.5" around, which is basically the limit the manufacturer has said they will stretch. Be realistic people, if your arm is wedge shaped of course it's going to slip down over time with movement. That being said, these did stay up better then any others I've tried. They are very soft and light material, but still seem to do a decent job blocking out the sun. Even when stretched tight they are not uncomfortably tight. I personally like to wear the gloves damp as they act as personal air conditioning. When wet the gloves DO stay up, especially if you just fold over the top of the glove a little. They wear very well folded back down on themselves in case you only wanted the glove to be elbow length or whatever. Do be warned the more popular colors do seem to take longer to ship, and cost more. So far I have purchased the navey, skin tone, and dark gray. Each was a different price, but all were still reasonably priced for the quality in my opinion. I'm pleased with these and will most likely buy more from them again in the future.

They were tight on my upper arms and kept rolling down. I gave them to my 19-year-old and they're loose on her and keep sliding. They look great until then. We do have some roll-on body adhesive (Sigvaris - It Stays, also available on Amazon) so we'll try that and I imagine it'll keep them in place just fine. My daughter is so confident she wanted me to order another color. Update: the seller contacted me about my comments and I'm impressed that they not only pay attention but took the time to email me. My original review wasn't bad, so it speaks well of them that they are genuinely interested in what their buyers think. Also, I ordered the light gray & purple so my daughter is giddy with options now.

Not as good as they used to be. Now they are much more flimsy and thin. Also less stretchy so they don't really stay up on women's arms.
