This is really good matcha. I just came back from Japan and was looking for a good matcha after the good grade I bought in Japan run out and this was very close to the one I bought there. Will definitely be buying again! It’s not bitter at all, very sweet notes

I think it's a good beginner matcha. It isn't very strong, and the flavour is easily drowned out in a latte. The colour is very vibrant and the powder whisks into the perfect microfoam. Overall if you don't love complexity in the flavour of the matcha or you're just trying to get used to it, this is a good choice. I think it's good value for money overall.

This matcha has a vibrant green color which is very indicative of its high quality. It has a more vegetal and floral scent to it and full of umami, no bitterness. It blends very well too and gives good boost of energy without all the jitters from caffeine. Makes a very good matcha latte. I highly recommend.

Después de probar los dos te matcha, me inclino por el ceremonial, sobretodo en el sabor, es bastante más suave que el premiun. En batidos, apenas se aprecia el cambio. Pero en infusión se nota bastante la diferencia de sabor entre el ceremonial y el premiun. Ceremonial sabor suave. Premiun sabor fuerte y amargo.

Since this was ceremonial grade, I opted to just froth it with a chasen. I don't use a sweetener so the matcha really has to shine. I have tried Heapwell matcha before where it is sold in a bag. Then I was impressed with how inexpensive Heapwell's matcha is considering the quality of it. With this version of Heapwell's in a tin it is no different. At today's price of 13.99 I am still blown away at how inexpensive this is for such a high quality matcha. I have literally tried dozens of matcha brands but continually am impressed when I try Heapwell's matcha. The color of this matcha is bright green which is indicative of really good matcha. The brightness comes from the fact that either it was shade grown but since this isn't organic it could also mean the use of fertilizers. The flavor profile has almost no bitterness. The matcha itself has a nice well rounded flavor profile with floral hints. Personally I prefer a little more astringency but the little amount it has is still quite nice. Overall this matcha is not just good for the price, it is actually really good matcha. If I ever run out of matcha, which will probably take a long time considering how much I have, this is the brand I would go back to not just for the cost but because it really is a great matcha. As with all matcha, make sure you don't heat the water over 175F as it can get bitter no matter what quality matcha you buy. For me, I personally take the temperature no higher than 160F to capture the full range of flavors.
