I’m using these for my hayabusa there bright with long cords so I can place them all over the bike I would recommend

I got the 8 pod set and they worked ok. The instructions tell you to test them before you install them, so I did. They are bright, lots of colors, and the wiring harness seems pretty long. Construction appears solid and all the mounting hardware looks good. The keychain remote has a nice solid feel as well, and works good.While testing them, I found three issues with them.1) When you change the color using the app, the brightness goes to MAX. I looked everywhere, there is no setting to adjust this, it's just the way the app is programmed. The keychain remote has no function to adjust the brightness. Very annoying but not a deal breaker.2) The app REQUIRES that you have internet access. I don't use my rock lights in the city, I use them off-road, so this is pretty much a deal breaker. I tested this by going into airplane mode then enable Bluetooth, open the app and click on the lights in the menu, the app reports "unable to connect". Turn off airplane mode, open the app, click on the lights in the menu, presto, it connects.3) the app REQUIRES location access on your phone, this is absolutely a deal breaker. Maybe it's just me, but any led rock light app that requires your exact location is a serious security issue. I tested this by denying location access the first time, ( why would it need my location? ) the app was unable to find my lights over Bluetooth after several attempts. Restart the app, this time I allowed access, the app found my lights instantly.Bottom line, they work great, if you want max brightness every time you change the color and the manufacturer knowing you exact location.

The lights can in fast. Easy to install. Built to last. No noises coming from them

I got these lights wanting to use them for under glow on the bottom of my pop-up camper. Before I installed them I tested them on a Jackery portable power station. Just as an FYI, there are three power wires to connect. A black ground, a red positive wire, and a blue “brake light” wire. I hooked the blue and red wire together since I was not connecting these in a car and I had assumed that it needed power or the lights wouldn’t work. This was a mistake. The seller later informed me that the brake light wire is there as a safety and powering it caused the lights to only light up red. No other color would work as long as the brake light wire had power.As a test, I hooked them up as described above and turned them on. The lights lit up and begin flashing through the color schemes, red, blue, green etc. Touching any button on the remote only stopped the flashing and caused them to remain on solid red. It would have been like hitting the brakes on a car. In hind site I should have tried the lights without the blue wire hooked up. They might have worked fine.However, concerning the remote control, it is not the same one pictured in the ad, which I would have preferred because in theory it would have made choosing a color much easier. The remote included doesn’t have color choice buttons, it simply has 4 buttons labeled A, B, C, and D. Each button is supposed to have a different function. I was not able to figure it out before returning it due to having them connected incorrectly. I was also unable to make them link to the Smart Life app. Again, probably due to miswiring.I previously had given these lights a 3 star rating due to issues experienced, but had ammended my review to 4 stars due to the seller contacting me and explaining the situation better. It was my understanding that they also had offered me a refund while allowing me to keep the product, but I had already returned it before getting that message. So take this review with a grain of salt because part of it was my fault. The lights probably do work, but I still would have preferred the remote shown instead of the one included. It would have simplified using them in the way that I want to use them.
