Poolmaster 32227 Above-Ground Swimming Pool Vacuum Hose, 1-1/4-Inch x 27-Feet, Neutral

I purchased this based on price and availability, so I did not read the entire item description. I was very pleasantly surprised to see "Made in the USA" on the box! Even the box is much better quality than what comes from China, and the hose seems to be very well built. It worked perfectly on my above ground pool and I suspect it will last many years (kept out of the AZ sun).

Good item , it’s a thin plastic but for an emergency does the job I do believe this won’t be really durable and if winter time comes, take it inside, cause it will crack

Why is this size hose so hard to find? It's nowhere in our whole community. So thankful to not only find it on Amazon, but it was here in a day! (We use this for "Wally". The machine that vacuums our pool and climbs the "walls"!)

The hose that came with my summer waves pool was garbage. We gutted the skimmer and upgraded the pump and filter system. The pump would suck the old hose flat. This hose fixed that problem. Very happy. I store it out of the sun because I have read other reviews. I got a big pool storage box so that is not an issue. From what I have read it cracks if left in the sun. Just stow it and it will last a long time. It is also long enough I can reach my hot tub and get dirt out of the bottom of it too. Great hose for the money.

I bought this to have a longer hose for our Intex 9'x18' pool and pool cleaner. The hose fittings are the generic pressure fit type. They do not work with the Intex fittings. (The Intex fittings might be proprietary but I'm not certain.) I knew this when buying the hose abd cut off their fittings (they are glued on) and (reverse) threaded my old hose's fittings onto this hose, which worked perfectly. Had held up to daily use so far and does not show signs of degradation. The price was good which is why I didn't mind not having the Intex fittings.

Update after 3 years of use and sun abuse: The hose has became brittle at different places of the hose. The hose is no longer that much flexible because it cracks very easily even at moderate hand-reeling of the hose. Its no longer usable as vacuum hose and so I am planning on using this as discharge hose only whenever I need one. ------------ Original Review ------------ This hose does the job great. I wasn't expecting much when I placed my order. When I received the product and initially checked it, it looked great and felt firm and plenty strong. I was expecting some cheap flimsy hose due to the price but it's about the same quality as the ones from home improvement stores. The only issue I have is that it's not the standard 1-1/2 inch hose. I had to make adapters to make it work with my pool tools. Very easy to make though, took less than 5 minutes. But I have to mention that as it might be an important info for future buyers.

I purchased this hose for my 15' above ground pool. I was converting it to a sand filter system, and planned to use the hose for vacuuming and backwashing. It has worked well for both, and I appreciate it's solid design and all white color. I fel the price was acceptable for the length and quality I received.

Muy practico

Both ends of this are just plain non-turning ends. Would have bought the cheaper blue black kind that clearly show the rotating end but took the description as accurate instead of letting myself get taken in by my thinking that the cooler looking white hose probably had an internal rotation mechanism. Short season, Canada Day coming, and many grandchildren so going to use it and hopefully the lack of a swivel won't be too irritating. Sucks to be me I guess.
