Thanks to dry, sensitive skin, I'm always a bit concerned when trying new skin care products. With regards to masks, I've tried some that have worked well, some that caused my skin to burn and some that caused my already dry skin to become even drier. It makes me SO happy to report that I do not experience any negative issues with HUXLEY Secret of the Sahara Clay mask. I would have been crushed if I had experienced a negative reaction because this really is one heck of a clay mask!Huxley is a nice, gentle mask. But don't let that fool you, it may be gentle but it does a heck of an exceptional job! It applies nice and easy. I let it sit on my skin for 10 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water, right before its nearly dry. It exfoliates well leaving my skin soft, smooth , a bit brighter and healthy. Dead skin cells are washed away. My skin literally feels GOOD after using Huxley. This mask does have a light scent but it doesn't last long. It is recommended Huxley be used 1-3 times a week. I use it twice a week though I could probably get away with using it only a week because the results Huxley delivers are long lasting.I'm so relieved I will be able to continue to use this mask on my skin. Silly as it may sound I kind of feel like I'm pampering myself when I use it-it makes my skin feel that GOOD! I will continue to use/purchase Huxley, I'm that satisfied/impressed with what it does for my skin. I absolutely recommend Huxley.

I find that this mask checks off my first box, but not the second.The instructions state to apply an even layer to dry skin and before it's completely dry, rinse the clay off with lukewarm water. I have tried this mask several times now and found that it dries almost completely within 2-3 minutes. I will barely get the mask on, wash my hands and it is already time to wash this face mask off. The few times I let it dry completely, it made my skin feel really tight and I didn't like it as much as when I used this per the directions and washed off when not completely dry. So this mask doesn't check off my second box, it does check off my first box. This mask has a very very fine granules in there that mildly exfoliates. I like that it is mild since my sensitive skin can't handle rough exfoliation. When I wash this mask off when not completely dry, it leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized.Overall I like how this makes my skin feel and would recommend this mask on that reason alone. However, if you are like me and want to have a mask where it both nourishes your skin and gives you a chance to take a load off, you may want to go with a different mask that doesn't dry nearly as fast as this one.

I really like products by Huxley. They tend to be not overpriced and the quality that I found to date is always very good. They always come in packaging that is stylish and looks good.this clay mask is just along the lines and I for one even though clay masks tend to dry out my skin, really like this one.It looks great and this one smells fantastic, one of the things I really like about Huxley products. This clay mask really cleans my skin beautifully and does not dry it out too much. I have normal skin and it does dry it out a little bit but since I always use a good moisturizer afterwards it is not a big deal.Make sure you follow the instruction, clean your face, apply an even layer and let it sit for about 15 to 20 minutes. I let it get pretty dry before I rinsed it off with lukewarm water. My skin felt great and was nice and soft after I used this mask. I for one can only recommend this one.

This clay mask is nice because it is sheer enough so that it doesn’t harden and become too stiff and uncomfortable. It is lightly scented with a clean fragrance that smells pleasant when applying this to my face. The directions state to leave on for 5-10 minutes, and then to rinse it off before it is completely dry. I have noticed that if I do leave this mask on long enough for it to completely dry, it develops an unpleasant scent that smells like sulfur when I go to remove it.

This is a clay mask that is much thinner than most clay masks. It contains 3 different kinds of clay, as well as mud in its formulation. I’m a fan of clay masks because I have very oily acne prone skin.The directions say to wait until it’s completely dry before rinsing off, however I think I’m going to have to adjust that process for myself. My skin got a little irritated, which has only happened in the past when I leave a clay mask on too long. I didn’t leave it on very long, just past the point when it was dry which happened pretty quickly since it’s thin. I think in the future I’ll try to rinse when it starts to dry but not completely. I’ve also been implementing it with my cleanser to massage on and rinse off, which is one of the tips they suggested and have had good results this way. I love the sleek, minimalistic packaging and have tried a few products by Secret of Huxley, and find that I really love the brand and ingredients overall.

My skin also feels really refreshed and moisturized after each use. One miss for me was how the mask doesn't really target the redness on my skin. Other than that, i really love this mask and how i can also use it to exfoliate and cleanse! Love the scent and the texture of this product. Very spa-like. My skin doesn’t feel dry or stripped after using it. I will then finish up my normal skincare routine and ending off with their sleeping mask. The best part is that you can exfoliate your skin after doing the clay mask. Do add warm water and gently rub your skin until it is completely removed. Most clay masks I've used are difficult to apply and remove as they are usually in a paste-like form, but this one is smooth and easy to use! I like how it can cleanse my skin while leaving it hydrated without any irritation.
