Overall this is was a great overall value. If you are planning to pack a lot of cartons buying in bulk without question makes more sense than buying single rolls retail from the big box stores. Duck HD Clear packaging tape is crystal clear and has no odor. A lot of the other brands either have a yellowish tinge and/or has a strong chemical odor. It's real easy to find where each roll starts and the tape itself is thicker than the other (1.88 inch wide) tape I've tried. What that means is the tape is much less likely to tear at weird angles as you're pulling it out (by hand or using a tape gun) and it's harder to just randomly tear in shipment if something sharp slides across the tape. The only thing that I would consider a negative is that the glue can be a little stickier. Not that it comes off easily (it still is pretty strong and I use it for shipping) but probably because it's thicker and stronger, it's easier than some of the other tapes to peel as a whole piece. So IF someone is looking to intentionally pull the tape off a box it's more likely that they'll be able to do so with this tape than other tapes (which likely will result in pieces being torn instead). Still definitely can be used for shipping packages if you're running your own small business or selling stuff on one of the selling apps.

This tape works great for packaging shipments. I have had zero issues with it not sticking or sealing packages. I also like that the tape doesn’t make that really loud annoying sound that other packaging tape I’ve had does when I’m dispensing it on the roller. Great price as well. Will buy again.

I've used about every kind of 3M & Duct Brand clear packing tape there is and w/o a doubt the "HD Clear Duct Brand Packing Tape" is the best I've ever used. Also a heck of a deal for just over $3/roll when you buy the 6-pack. It's plenty thick enough and doesn't split/tear longways off of the roll. For packing boxes, or covering labels, I've never had it come off, not stick, or loosen. I also use this HD Duck brand tape around the house for uses it was not intended and works great. I have old wooden single-pane windows with those old-style aluminum framed storm windows/screens which slide up and down. About the most inefficient storm windows there are with gaps on the sides/top when down. So before the winter cold hits I tape all the gaps on the sides/tops w/HD Duck brand packing tape and helps a bunch. Surface must be dry for tape to stick so don't try it when already cold, warm/hot in the house, or condensation forms. Sometimes I'll use a hair drier to heat up the aluminum frame and burn any condensation off. I also bend the tape ends over to create some tabs to make it easier to get the tape off. Also tape the screen frame edges during the summer to prevent small bugs from coming in. Fair warning though you won't be able to get your outside storm windows or screens open in doing this. Also the glue is hard to get off the aluminum/any window glass you overlap but since I'm going to put more tape on there when installing screens I don't worry about it. I also use this HD packing tape to tape some gaps around the outside of my 3 window AC units in early summer. Holds up to the hot temps/sun but again fair warning this glue is hard to get off after removing the tape. Paint thinner and/or glue remover works some but I also use a single edge razor blade scraper if needed. Don't do this on plexiglass or you can scratch it with a razor blade. I also don't tape painted surfaces since it may remove the paint. Used to buy these 6-packs of HD Clear Duck brand packing tape at Lowe's or Home Depot. Can't find them anymore in the stores and Amazon is a good resource. I don't quite understand the negative reviews on this clear HD Duct brand tape since I've never had any problems. Now I have had problems w/the "HP" (High Performance) Duck brand clear packing tape and don't think it's half the product of the "HD" type. I've also noticed in the past couple years where there isn't as much glue, or solvent-type smell, to the glue on HD Duck clear packing tape. I wonder if the Duck company wasn't going through a period of testing/changing glue types to conform to some of the more stringent EPA guidelines concerning VOC content? Regardless, I still think the "Duck Brand HD Packing Tape" is a great product.

I really love using this tape! It is thick and easy to dispense on my tape dispenser gun. There is no bubbles that I see from other tapes that I have bought from other brands. This tape is very study and it’s hard to come apart. I usually use this tape for my packages when I need to sent them out and not worry about it coming apart. There is no weird residue on my hands when I touch the tape. Highly recommend!

I like this tape as it's a higher quality tape that is thicker. It fits normal tape guns and is easy to use, especially if you need to find the end of the roll. It seems to adhere well and holds things together well.

Habituellement, je ne prends pas le temps de rédiger un avis pour du ruban adhésif, mais ce lot de Duck Tape mérite amplement une mention spéciale. Ayant un déménagement à organiser, j'ai cherché des recommandations pour un scotch vraiment efficace et j'ai suivi les conseils d'experts. Je ne suis absolument pas déçu ! Ce ruban de 48 mm x 50 m est d'une robustesse exemplaire, mes cartons sont restés scellés de manière impeccable. Mais au-delà de sa solidité, c'est son ergonomie qui est un vrai coup de cœur : il se déroule avec une fluidité impressionnante, se coupe parfaitement sans avoir besoin de forcer, et surtout, quand on cherche le début du rouleau, il ne s'effiloche pas. Finie la galère de gratter pour trouver le bon bord ! C'est un détail qui, sur un lot de 6 rouleaux et une multitude de cartons, représente un gain de temps et un confort d'utilisation inestimables. Je n'achèterai plus que celui-ci dorénavant.
