Perfect for Professional & Gaming Use - Excellent Value
We recently installed this monitor in a newly renovated private office at our coworking space. We needed a display that fit our budget while delivering reliable performance and vibrant visuals for client productivity—plus enough quality for gaming sessions. The USB-C connectivity was a must-have for us. It creates a clean, cables-free look and works seamlessly with both Mac and Windows laptops that our clients use. No adapters, no docking stations, no fuss. I'm typically not a fan of 1080p displays, so we always opt for 1440p to get that crisp, sharp clarity that makes a real difference for detailed work. This monitor delivers exactly that—text is clear, colors pop, and the overall image quality exceeds expectations for the price point. For anyone outfitting an office or upgrading their workspace, this is an exceptional value. Professional-grade performance without the premium price tag. Highly recommend

Great picture and good quality.
Very good looking monitor. Took a bit to get my older Dell laptop to recognize the right resolution, but once I got it setup works fantastic. The audio is a bit muddled (not enough high end) which makes video calls a bit wonky. Only wish the adjustable stand would go higher. Had to purchase a monitor stand.

Glorious piece of technology. Yes, you need this monitor.
I was initially concerned about buying a Philips monitor because I assumed the quality would not be on par with other well-known brands. The reasonable price, 4 year warranty, and good reviews are what led me to settle on this monitor. PANEL The screen itself is bright. I tend to keep the brightness level around 85-90. 1. Text looks clear both in the middle and the sides 2. Contrast is good 3. Images look great 4. Colors are quite accurate - I have not made any changes to customize the colors of the panel. Out of the box the colors looked good to me. I am not planning on using this monitor for editing photos. I have another monitor that is more geared towards creative work. AESTHETICS The whole monitor looks great. Even the back has sort of a brushed look. I love it! CURVE I really enjoy the curve. I have heard some people say that the curve takes time to get used to, but getting used to it seemed easy to me. I don't think I would want a monitor wider than this. The size is perfect. Thankfully the monitor I received was in perfect condition. No dead pixels. Philips dead pixel policy is not clear at all. I hope that this will never be an issue. The 4 year warranty seems pretty awesome. Seems like Philips will stand behind their product. GAMES I have not yet tested any serious games on this monitor, but I will soon and post an update here. I did play some Roblox and the game filled the whole screen. Any content that fills the whole screen is really awesome. USB-C My work laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad. The USB-C port on the laptop where I plug the power adapter did nothing when I connected the monitor using the supplied USB-C cable. This is probably a misunderstanding on my part. There is a secondary USB-C port on the laptop that has an energy bolt next to it. When I plugged the monitor into that USB-C port, the laptop displayed on the monitor in 1440p, and the laptop was receiving a charge from the monitor. Pretty amazing. STAND The stand is very sturdy. The screen can tilt up & down, twist left and right, and can raise up & down. Very happy with this. SPEAKERS The speakers are great if you consider they are built-in speakers, not dedicated reference monitors. It's a very welcomed addition, and they do the job. PURPOSE People may settle on this monitor for different reasons. For me the biggest reason was work. Having this monitor for work is a total dream. I am an IT engineer, so being able to have Visual Studio Code, PowerShell, Outlook, and the Azure portal all open at the same time (I have a 2nd monitor) really helps with productivity. A creative professional may want to avoid the curve and go for a panel with even higher color accuracy. A gamer might want more than 100hz to keep gameplay as smooth as possible. If you are looking for more screen real estate and you want to be more productive, then this monitor is for you. Side note: Amazon's characteristics for this item don't make any sense. They asked me to give a rating for the "sheerness" and "thickness" of the monitor.

Almost Perfect
It's a great looking screen with a good feature set and good specs for the price. I really like the buttons and menus as they make it super easy to change settings, unlike many monitors these days. There are really only two things that prevented me from giving 5 stars: First, PBP/PIP feature only works with certain combinations of connections. Unfortunately, it does not work with HDMI on one device and USB-C on the other. So for my use case with a Mac Mini (HDMI) and Macbook Pro (USB-C), I'm not able to do PBP/PIP. I ordered a USB-C to DisplayPort for the Mac Mini to see if this fixes the issue as USB-C/DP is one of the combinations that the manual says works. Second, the "cable management" is subpar. As you can see from the pictures on the item listing, it's just a couple of tabs on the back of the monitor stand. The cables do not go through/hide in the monitor stand as they do with many other monitors on the market. The power cable specifically shows without using something else to hold it up (see photo) The PBP/PIP issue may be a deal breaker for me as I specifically bought this monitor over others for this function, but I can live with the cable management. Update: The USB-C to DisplayPort and USB-C combination worked for PIP/PBP. Using this monitor in combination with Logitech mouse/keyboard with flow technology allows me to very easily work with both computers side by side & switch peripherals easily.

Excellent Screen for Work and School Assignments
I moved back in late March and only now got around to setting my MacBook and this display back up. I got it back in December 2023 and I use it mainly for school work. I was worried about it being moved since I’d read about how delicate it is. My movers taped flattened cardboard boxes around the screen and loaded it on the truck with furniture and other items. It’s working beautifully and connected right back to my MacBook using the USB-C connection. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. The display is gorgeous, allows me keep three full windows open to work on my document while having my reference piece side by side. I use the third window to keep YouTube open for shorts breaks in my work. It’s been a lifesaver for me as far as completing my work goes. Two year back, I’d also use it on WFH days. I would say if you’re wondering if you should get it, go ahead and pull the trigger. However, I do not game, so I am not sure if it’s up to gaming standards.

Didn't last a year and warranty support is non-existent. Pass on this display.
A very good monitor that didn't last a year (purchased in July 2005). The functionality of the monitor was excellent. No dead pixels and great clarity. Then one day the screen was black but I could see the monitor backlight was on. Pushed the OSD menu showed nothing after a couple of power cycle attempts. I knew it was a bad component. This is where I will be clear why i will not recommend this for anyone. The support was abysmal. First the support number in the documentation gives a decision tree that doesn't include displays. So I went through a different path to get to a support agent. They gave me a different number to call. Ok great. I called the number (was disconnected 3 times before someone finally answered). I described what was going on and all they did was ask for my email and phone number and that someone would get back with me. Of course that didn't happen so I've decided to cut my loss and try a ViewSonic instead. So if you've already purchased this, hope yours lasts longer than mine did. And if you end up needing service for yours...good luck. (you'll need it).

Great for the Price
This PHILIPS 346E2CUAE 34" Curved Monitor is a gem of a monitor, often overlooked by reviewers. I bought it on sale for $370 a couple of weeks ago, though I see it is currently at its full price of $419. At $370, it's hard to beat. At $419, there may be other options to consider. But it seems to go on sale frequently. It works flawlessly with my 2020 Mac Mini M1. Plug and play. Bam! There it is. No flicker, no spurious shut-downs that other reviewers have warned of. I am not a gamer. I use this monitor for productivity. Installation is easy and the USB-C port is a useful addition. One of the best features is that there are four USB-A ports (two powered, two data-only) on the left side of the monitor that are easy to access. I don't know why most monitor makers place their extra USB ports tucked away inaccessibly in the back of the unit. But Philips has avoided this issue and provides ports aplenty. I've tested the ports with thumb drives and with a Logi webcam and they all work well. NOTE: I have the monitor connected to my Mac Mini via HDMI for the picture AND via USB-C to power the USB-A ports and for data transfer. It arrived from the factory with near-perfect settings, requiring only minor adjustment of contrast and brightness. On-screen controls and power are easy to access through five buttons on the bottom-right of the frame. A couple of things you should be aware of: (1) Image on the screen is best viewed while sitting directly in front of the monitor. Viewing at oblique angles, either vertically or horizontally, you will notice considerable fading of the image. But viewed straight-on, color is good and brightness is good. (2) The stand provides vertical and tilt adjustments, but no swivel. That's not a problem for me. But you should be aware in case you need that capability. At the $370 price point, this is a monitor that is hard to beat.

3 Years Later
For whatever reason I came to look at this order today to see when I got this monitor, and it was exactly three years ago on this date, so I figured I should give a review since I never did. The monitor works great, no complaints considering the price (which is even less now than when I got it!). There are a couple little things, like it's quite slow to wake when connected to my laptop via usb-c. I don't know if it's the cable setup but I won't be switching to HDMI to find out. The other one is that the speakers sometimes sound blown with like a rattle or crackle to the sounds, but simply turning the monitor off and back on always solves the problem, so even knowing that I'd still buy this screen compared to the more expensive options. I've got it mounted on a single arm attached to my autonomous stand / sit desk and it's not so heavy that the arm or desk can't handle it just fine. Overall great monitor, completely pleased with my purchase, would buy again 10/10.

Picture-by-picture works well..
I bought this for work so I could run 2 laptops side-by-side, using Picture-By-Picture (PBP) and it works decently. One word of warning though, it only has 1x HDMI, 1x USB-C and 1x Display Port, but they don't all play well together... HDMI and Display Port: Yes USB-C and Display Port: Yes HDMI and USB-C: No I'd originally hoped that I could run HDMI and USB-C together, but this simpy is not the case. It's easy enough to convert a USB-C with "Display Port over USB" functionality to Display port however, with a simple cable adaptor, so all was not lost for me. Overall though, great monitor. Lots of screen real-estate to multi-task.

Great monitor, crisp black text, excellent colours and easy on the eyes. 10/10
I researched widescreen monitors for many hours and I settled on the Philips widescreen because of the price point, and the few reviews I found on it were good. I use this screen for film editing, photoshop, and work flow. The colour range is excellent and I find the 34" wide screen perfect. This screen is replacing my 38" widescreen dell, which I found too big. The 34" is perfect for opening multiple windows and unlike my old 38" monitor, I don't have to constantly keep turning my head to see the edges - 34" is the sweet spot! I also love the rich blacks and the colour is amazing. I am not a gamer so I can't give this an honest review for gaming, but for work flow I would not look anywhere else. I am using it with my 15" MacBook Pro and it plugs into the usb-c on my laptop and keeps the battery perfectly charged. I tried the built in speakers and like any built in speakers in a monitor, they lack bass. I use computer speakers with a subwoofer and I would never use built in speakers on any screen so in my opion the speakers should not impact your decision to buy this screen. Thank you Philips for saving me about 800.00 on something equivalent! Amazing screen 10/10.

Great value and productivity beast
I was looking to change my 27inch monitor for a larger one to improve my work productivity, as I work with a lot of spreadsheets and web-based apps for my work, which is now done remotely like many people now. I am also a very light gamer and hobbyist photographer, which means that I need a solid monitor to edit my photos. However, I was not willing to spend $1k for a monitor. After reading reviews online and finding out that this monitor is the successor to the well-reputed 346B1C, I figured I would give it a shot. And boy, it was worth it! If you're looking for a monitor that provides USB-C power delivery for your laptop (it works like a charm on my 15-inch Macbook Pro) that can replace a dual-screen setup and provide great image/video quality without breaking the bank, look no further. Setup was easy and the package includes all necessary cables. The cherry on top: it's covered by a 4-year warranty (US and Canada), meaning that the company stands behind its products. Can't beat the specs/features/quality and price. I'd buy it again if I had to.
