No, Ecowitt is designed to be web-based. Actually web offers more flexibility since data is accessible from anywhere, and alerts for high winds can be easily set. I'd always wanted an display too, but in retrospect the Ecowitt modular system for web data is far more useful.

Can this track daily rainfall for the month or does it just do like others, 1 day, 7 days, month?

Hi, you can track daily rainfall records and graph at least one year on our ecowitt weather server: ecowitt.net after uploading the data to it(you'll need to buy a GW1000 wifi gateway to support that). Any other question, please contact us at support@ecowitt.com.

Does my phone need to be on the same wifi network as the gateway in order to view the rainfall data, or can i be in another town and access the data?

Hello, to view the live data on your phone it requires your phone and the gateway to be at the same network. You can upload the data to our free weather server and then you can view the data remotely by visiting the website. Any other question, please contact us at support@ecowitt.com.

Can the device be set up to automatically upload the data to your server?

Absolutely. The GW1000 Gateway transfers the data securely to the Ecowitt server in a format you can choose to download or share to established PWS hosts like WeatherUnderground – you can also configure uploads to your own server easily.
