Pennington Smart Seed Northeast Mix 3lb, Grass Seeds for Lawn

Since discovering Pennington seed, it is all I use to regrow areas that I had to dethatch or dead areas from heavy foot traffic. My grass gets full sun and the grass seed I used to use was prone to burnt roots. Pennington seed germinates quickly and given adequate water I have no bald spots and really pretty grass all spring and summer. The Northeast blend works perfectly for the weather in this region.

grass appeared in 4 to 5 days thanks to the daily rain! I used two types of seed and this was way faster and thicker than the black beauty brand

Although the price is high this seed is well worth the money. It fills in thick. It germinates in about 9 days (you need to keep it constantly wet). I won't buy another brand again.

Always have good results when using this grass seed. Works well in patching and over seeding. Highly recommended.

I'm surprised. This was supposed to be such a good product I've done everything that I have done with Scotts grass seed kept it watered put down new topsoil and I don't even have one sprout at the same time I put down Scott's because I didn't have enough Pennington and Scott's is already an inch high so I don't know what happened

I didn’t anticipate that the birds would eat these seeds because of the fertilizer on them 🤷🏾but they did but I won’t give up I will try again.

Had to kill off unwanted tall fescue grassin my lawn. After killing it off and tilling it by hand, I used Pennington Northeast blend to reseed those areas. Came up in most spots in 7-10 days. I’ve been using Pennington products for quite a long time, and their warrant can’t be beat if you have any questions or problems.

Followed instructions carefully, watered faithfully. Results took a long time after 2 more reseedings. Was disappointed in the slow process.
