Good value monitor with a funny amount of features
The picture quality is good, no noticeable ghosting and the response time is equally unnoticeable and so excellent. The colors on this monitor are definitely a bit more saturated but what this leads to is neon lights and bright colors to look fuller and to pop out more which I think looks really nice and should be how they should look. The HDR setting at this low of a brightness isn't too impressive, I barely notice a difference if there even is one but it is nice to know that technically this monitor has HDR. Another feature of this monitor that's nice to have but is halfbaked are the speakers since the speakers are awful. No bass, all mids, low quality, low volume, but you're most likely not going to be using them anyways so they're just kinda nice to have. Yet another feature that's nice to have is the RGB lights that are on the back of the monitor. You will almost never notice them especially if you have the monitor against a wall like I do and especially since the LEDS aren't all that bright, but hey: you got cool lights on the back of your monitor that you can change the lighting effects of one time when you first get the monitor so that's cool. Another feature of this monitor is the stand but what makes this feature different from the previous ones is that this one is actually quite good. The stand does have a little tilt forward and a fair amount back and it can swivel side to side a good amount but what's most impressive is that the screen can be flipped vertically which may not seem too useful for most but for me, reading comics on PC has never been better especially since the resolution of the screen is 1440p so I can take in all those small details which I may have missed before. Oh, and speaking of 1440p, this was my first 1440p monitor (excluding the previous one I bought which I disliked greatly and promptly returned and bought this one to replace because of the terrible ghosting), and I have to say that the increased resolution isn't too noticeable at a glance (I wouldn't upgrade to 1440p if you don't have the power or money for it and I'd rather focus on getting a 120hz or more 1080p monitor first) but if you pay attention you'll notice that everything is more clear and just simply prettier and that the pixels are far and few in-between. 1440p and this monitor have been a real treat to me so far and I would highly recommend getting this monitor as it is great and great for the price.

High-end features for an absolute steal of a price.
I have been a PC gamer for years, and I have been searching for a new monitor for quite some time. I researched dozens of different brand names from low end budget to high end LG, Samsung, or BenQ gaming monitors, and this Sceptre 27" 1440p HDR gaming monitor checked all my boxes. I wanted as many high-end features that I could find, while paying as little as possible (dont we all). This monitor is with out a doubt one of the best budget monitors that you will find in the 1440p range. It even out ranks or beats some high end monitors that I have come across. It comes with 10bit color or 8bit with dithering which is comparable. 1.07 billion colors at 135% sRGB which means it has great wide color gamut. It has 1m GtG latency and its brightness peaks at 450nits with HDR400. For a 1440p IPS,144 frames per second, HDR capable, 10bit wide color gamut w/ HDR, sporting 1ms grey-to-grey latency at 135% sRGB, this monitor is an absolute beast. Try finding these specs on another 1440p HDR monitor and see how much you will have to pay. This is my first time using HDR and this monitor is brighter than most other 1440p HDR gaming monitors that peak out at around 400. So all these colors pop and the fact that its an IPS screen helps bring things to life. For below $200, you will not find a better gaming monitor (trust me, I looked for months). Also, Sceptre has a 'No dead pixel guarantee'. So thats a relief right from the start that no matter what you wont be stuck with a green or black spot(s) chillin on your brand new gaming monitor. Now as it is a 'budget' monitor there are some caveats, but for the price they are perfectly acceptable. First 10-bit is only available using 120hz, if you want to use 144hz its 8-bit w/ dithering which is not the same thing, but its very hard to tell the difference between the two. It is also possible that my Display Port cable is an older version and its not letting me access the higher setting because of it, but I dont think so. Also, 1ms GtG latency only comes on if you select the 'overdrive' option within the monitors settings. Otherwise its 5ms. Again, not a big deal because its easy to access. The last negative thing I have to mention is the stand. Its a big monitor with a beefy and very tall stand. You cannot adjust the height unless I am missing something. You can tilt the screen in all directions, up/down/left/right and rotate it into portrait view, which is nice, but I would like it a few inches lower. The bezels are nice and fairly small on the left and right sides. Again, overall you will be hard pressed to find a comparable 1440p IPS HDR gaming monitor for this price that are rockin these kind of specs 10-bit 135% sRGB is hard to find even on high end models. Ive had zero issues in the past 3 months of constant use and Im glad I waited and kept searching until I found this one. If you have read other comments about HDR not working or a 'washed-out' look, that is a problem with HDR settings within windows and not a monitor problem. I recommend that if you do have an issue (I had no issues at all), then search for an HDR settings guide and you will be good to go! I hope this guide has helped and besides, if you dont like it, you can return it and try your second choice! However, once you launch your first game, you will be glad you bought it.

Great quality for the price
Overview: I was looking for two 27" monitors in a 1440p resolution with preferably 144Hz+ refresh rate. This monitor ticked the boxes and claims HDR400. Coming from a decade old 60Hz Samsung monitor where the panel type was simply 'LCD', this was an amazing improvement. The Good: - Packaging was good and they shipped with no damage - Color depth is great compared to any other monitor I have used - 2 high refresh rate inputs (HDMI and DP) - Light weight, utilizes external power adapter The Bad: - Speakers were horrible. I know you typically don't buy monitors for their speakers, but these in my experience with them, were useless Misc: - Did not use the stands as I used wall mount/desk mount arms. These are a deeply inset 75x75 VESA, at first I was shocked at how deep the mounting screws were inset but they included extension screws to bring them out flush, nice save. - LED ring around the back, I left it on since it wasn't overpowering but I had no real opinion on it. I believe you can turn it off in the OSD menu. Conclusion: I had used Sceptre monitors in the past and knew they had been around for a while. I was really happy with the overall quality. No dead pixels. Speakers were a disappointment, but I wasn't counting on them. I would buy them again and recommend them to anyone wanting to step up to 27" 1440p and 144Hz for a reasonable price.

Not what I was looking for (non-gamer), but would otherwise Recommend
So this was my attempt at a UHD on 27” screen for work (mostly text, looking at docs side by side, spreadsheets) instead of 4K. I’ve returned for a 4K monitor, but I have to say I was impressed with the packaging and details on this monitor. The manufacturer clearly cares, and it was very well packaged and a really good initial impression. Not a fan of the RBG as 1. I don’t care to have it, and 2. It disturbed the sleep cycle to keep changing, which was a bit annoying. You might be able to change the settings, but I just got in the habit of switching off the monitor when not in use. Also not over the moon about the red scheme, but it’s clearly a curated experience and I have to say, that base was a rock! (They even give you a decent little screw driver.) After using for a few weeks I was certain I wanted the higher resolution for the small text but, if you do the esthetic and think it might be what you’re looking for, it certainly seemed a quality unit!

Best value ever! HDR with gaming is a game by game issue with any monitor.
The monitor is great! Be advised that HDR for gaming is hit or miss depending on the game. It makes darks more dark and brights more bright...but it's not always a good thing for some games... so try it out on a case by case basis. I wanted a monitor with HDR for photo editing and other stuff, so I haven't made extensive gaming-only hdr testing with this. But overall one of the best value monitor's I've ever found, and it looks better than my first Gen Dell 27" Gsync monitor which cost me 500 usd 4 years ago.

Not bad at all!
Many of us, myself included, assume that anything less than 4K simply won't do. But this straight ahead 2K monitor does just fine for me. I use it mainly for video production. I prefer recording video in HD @ 60 FPS, so this monitor is perfect for me. Colors are sharp, crisp, and well defined. I set the monitor to display 144 Hz and that is supported by HDMI. That's fortunate, because when I use the display cable, I can see things on the desktop, but they won't open. No such problem with the HDMI cable in the first slot - there are three. One 2.0 and two 1.4's. I know I should investigate the display cable issue further, but I don't really feel the need since I can get 144 Hz without the display cable. That is not the case with every similar device. The stand is sturdy, and I love that I can raise and lower the screen or flip it to portrait mode. My office desk isn't huge, and I was worried that this 27-inch replacement for my 24-inch monitor might feel too large or out of place. Not the case at all. I'm perfectly happy with this monitor. Unless you have VERY stringent requirements, I think you will be, too.

Huge bang for low price
Unboxing: Packaged amazingly and would withstand some shipping abuse. I really liked the way it came packaged with as little plastic and extra unnecessary trash as possible. Mounting: I have it mounted to a VESA arm. My only comment here is I don't like that the VESA mounting holes are inset into where the stand bracket goes instead of flat on the back. However, using some nice spacers I was easily able to mount it. Picture: Can't say enough great things here. Used about 100+ hours now and I can't get over how great the smoothness and picture quality are when consuming any sort of media or gaming. It really is an amazing panel and the high refresh rate is great for those high FPS games. Overall 9.9 out of 10. Wish I could turn off the LED's on the back or the monitor (maybe there is a setting somewhere?), and I only wish they wouldn't have color coded the inputs on the back in bright yellow and red. Dark greys and blacks with white writing would have been cleaner. In the end, I plan to purchase another of these to replace my last 27" 1080p monitor. They're really that good.

Things I have found about this monitor
HEADS UP: the monitor will have a HIGH standard of brightness and like the rest doesn't even have this past 50 on the screen contrast, brightness, and backlight if you want to know mine, I have it at(contrast 45, brightness 35, and backlight 40) if you make it past 50 on any of those three, please don't use those settings at night, it is that bright. PROS: 1. it's a bigger monitor than a 1080p 2. it has 144hz 3. good quality for its size 4. setting it up is basic 5. can't complain about a good low price for its specs compared to the rest CONS: 1. it is so bright that it will burn ur screen if left in one image for too long 2. it is a gamble on the state it is in since you can see by the other one-star reviews 3. in week 5 I have been seeing horizontal lines that are in different shades of the pixels 4. I have to open my monitor's settings to return it back to its original brightness every time I turn it on(and it's only the brightness, nothing else is reset) 5. if you are buying this and expect the backlight to be bright, it's not going to be visible against a wall but you can see it from behind only 6. I have not abused this monitor to its Linustech standards but it stood up to my laziness of forgetting to turn off my pc so it is good for budget purchases OVERALL: My monitor didn't come in messed up but it has minor problems that are expected. I got this for 200$ and if you can buy it from somewhere else for cheaper like eBay, go ahead. I am reviewing this now since I have used it for 7 months and I can see problems that can affect the monitor's life that I need to address. please note that this won't be a good purchase for you "one game only" players or stay on one page, it will burn ur screen slowly over time and it happened to me due to the fact of the taskbar burning the symbols on the bottom right on win10. FUN FACT: some of the things we may see on Amazon you might need may be cheaper on eBay and for a good reason due to the fact it might be the same seller but selling it for a higher price on Amazon. so share that with your friends and family. edit: if you have no money for a good $1k monitor, save for it. This monitor is now starting to break and is flashing like a horror movie monitor. I did everything I could to make it stop but it is just flashing like crazy and really makes me glad I'm not epileptic. please expect this monitor to last you for A YEAR at best.

It's really good for the price
It has excellent image quality provided you stick with the SDR visual mode, the colours really pop for an LCD screen, which amazed me. It also has amazing response times, great low input lag, next to no ghosting, and also great variable refresh rate (VRR) support for both PC and consoles. Now, the bad: It has terrible muffled speakers, very limited RGB that barely lights up, an audio jack with meh quality (use your computer's instead) and a bad HDR implementation (makes the screen gray). I think all of this can be forgiven given the price and it's not a big deal since there's a workaround for every single nitpick. Except RGB, which isn't exactly a deal breaker to me. — This is a wonderful product for gamers especially! You get a lot of value for your buck.

Nice replacement monitor
I don't game so I don't know, but I was replacing a wonky expensive Sanyo that was only 8 months old, of the same resolution. This monitor so far exceeds my expectations. Nice crisp highly saturated colours which my old eyes really appreciate. Stand is nice, I don't care about the speakers (they are bad) or the light in the back, but I love being able to move and change position of the monitor. It isn't truely edge to edge borderless but for me I'm happy with it. There's no backlight bleed. Update- bought in 2023, still using love it.

For the price, one of the best monitors out there
for 375 CAD, this is probably the best monitor you can get at 27 inch 1440p 144 hz. Picture quality is actually good, on par with Gigabyte MU32. It more or less has all the features you need in a monitor and it's a great all around monitor. And no it doesn't have the highest contrast or blacks like an OLED then again I don't spend all my time on the computer watching HDR videos like some TV nerd. Apparently it doesn't work well with consoles but I wouldn't know because I don't use dinosaur technology like HDMI or consoles.
