Alfred Dunner Petite Proportioned Medium Allure Slim Pant Pants

I am petite and these pants fit me perfectly. I am losing weight and did not want to spend a lot of money. I have purchased slacks from Alfred Dunner for many years.

I am 5'6" and weight 212 lbs. I look smaller than I weigh but definitely carry more weight around my thighs and hips especially now that I'm 60! I ordered these pants in a size 20 which is my comfortable Jean size...they were swimming on me. So I ordered them in a size 18 and they are PERFECT! So much so that I'm going to order another pair or two in different colors. They have an elastic waist that doesn't pinch or cause creases or lines and at the same time the pants don't sag down. They are stretchy and bend without cutting off your blood flow! I highly recommend!

Love the Alfred Dunner allure style pants because they have nice deeper pockets than the usual normal Alfred Dunner awkward side slits gaping pockets. The material is nice new shiny until you wash it and then becomes duller. I don't dry because they seem to shrink a little bit on their own. I own many allure capris, so I thought I'd try the pants. The navy delivered have the new shiny texture, but tan came dull with tag removed. Sizing fit, so not sure if this was a washed return item. Still deciding if I will reorder tan. Warning: I ordered the 16 instead of 16 Petite thinking it was a normal 16, but 16 is plus size. The 16 size is really 16w short. So please note these are all Short proportioned pants and the non petite size listed is plus size. I am 5'6" and the 16 pants fit like ankle pants - not too short, but not to the ground. Again,16 listed is 16w short. I usually wear 16w or 18 regular in Alfred Dunner or 16 regular if runs big. These match the fit of labeled size 16w short. I like them, but still wondering if the tan delivered to me was previously washed as they do not have normal new shine. These are true to size labeled on the pant. This listing should have wide or plus after single size numbers shown. Again, 16 is 16w short.

As a short person, it is often hard to get a good fit with pants. These, however seem to be well designed. The waist is not too tight. There are helpful pockets. The leg shape is flattering. They are comfortable. The drawback for me is the fabric needs special attention after laundering. I find a serious steam pressing on the reverse side works quite well. I bought these in several colors, so have come to know their "ways", I would buy them again.

I’m seriously thinking of returning them, I asked for denim jeans, they’re not, more like polyester. Also, they weren’t sent by Amazon, and they were left at my neighbor’s home.

At 5’3”, I usually struggle to find nice dress pants that don’t need hemming. I got a black pair of these new from Goodwill about a year and a half ago and have since bought them here in two more colors. Super comfortable and flattering! Only negative worth mentioning is that you CANNOT wash them with any sort of in-wash scent booster or stain remover powder like OxyClean. It’ll leave marks all over the pants that you’ll need to clean off with water and a cloth/paper towel before drying them.

I have worn Alfred Dunner petite pants for years, and they fit like they are tailored for me. These pants are not petite. Petite does not mean size 3, it means they are proportioned for short people. These pants were so long, they almost dragged on the floor!

These slacks have tummy control and the fabric is a good weight. I ordered 20 short. I'm 5'2" 209 lbs. Perfect fit, I don't need to hem them, my inseam is 27"

These are nice pants. Check the instructions for care, although I washed mine in cold water and put them in the dryer and they're fine, wrinkle free. Fit my size which is normally a 12 petite. May buy another pair.
