Brilliant read
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Gripping and Chilling Finale to an Incredible Series! As Good As Dead is a thrilling, emotionally intense conclusion to Holly Jackson’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder trilogy. From the very first page, I was hooked. The story takes a darker, more psychological turn than the previous books, and it’s absolutely brilliant. Pip’s character development is outstanding. You can feel her unraveling under pressure, and the writing pulls you deep into her fear and paranoia. The plot is full of unexpected twists, layered clues, and edge-of-your-seat suspense. Just when I thought I had things figured out, Jackson threw in another shock that left me reeling. This book ties the series together in a powerful, unforgettable way. It’s smart, bold, and haunting. If you enjoyed the first two books, this finale will leave you breathless. Holly Jackson has crafted one of the best YA thrillers out there—highly recommended!

Would give the series 6 stars 🤩 🤩 🤩 if I could.
Best book ever from AGGGTM series, after reading this you feel like you’re been through everything with the main character pip, couldn’t stop reading, full of plot twists and again ending was great, start of book picks up nicely from previous book in the series.

An unexpected finale and a trilogy I would still urge people to read.
I’ve really enjoyed the first two books in this trilogy so was very excited to read the third and final one. We are back with Pip who is struggling even more so with events in the previous book. I really wanted to reach out and give her a big hug. Having read all the books in the trilogy you can see the mental decline as well as how it has changed her. She has become a shadow of herself and her determination to have Max Hasting banged to rights has taken over her life. You have to admire her in some ways but it also teaches a valuable lesson that sometimes it is better to let things go than let it consume you, even if it’s just for your own sanity. The final story didn’t go at all how I expected it. There are some unexpected twists but I am also not sure how plausible some of the story was. It’s hard to explain what I mean as it would give too much away and I don’t want to spoil it for others. It will have you questioning yourself how far you would go for a loved one or a good friend. As Good As Dead whilst a good read, left me with a lot of questions as well as doubts. In some ways I was disappointed by Pip’s actions even though the system has let her and her friends down in the past. The story line left me feeling uncomfortable and played heavy on my mind. This final book seems to have readers divided and whilst I was hoping for a different outcome, the author has stuck to her guns with the genre and I have to applaud her for that. An unexpected finale and a trilogy I would still urge people to read.

A heart-pounding and ultimately satisfying finale to an amazing trilogy!
Actual rating: 3.5 stars I just wanted to write a quick note about my rating… If I was basing it completely on the thrill and my inability to put this book down it would be a solid 5-stars! I was on the edge of my seat THE WHOLE TIME and I’m so invested in these characters. BUT there were decisions made that lessened my enjoyment in terms of plot and that’s why it’s at 3.5-stars. I would still recommend it though! Just as in the previous books, I was immediately engaged in the story. Pippa is suffering her PTSD in silence and has turned to take drugs (specifically Xanax) in order to suppress the overwhelming sensations and flashbacks that are now her constant companions. She has lost complete faith in the justice system and herself to the grey area between good and bad and doesn’t know where that leaves her. Jackson has written Pippa’s tumultuous thoughts and experience of PTSD so incredibly well it’s as if you are experiencing it alongside her—the fast-paced drumbeat of nerves, the cold sweats, the flashes of bloody hands, and the inability to breath was shockingly visceral. I was completely twisted up in anxious knots as Pippa’s story took an unprecedented and absolutely insane direction and continued steamrolling chaotically until the very bittersweet end. At one point I thought my heart would beat out of my chest because I was so anxious for Pip! 🙈 I have to admit that figuring out who DT was before Pip did was such a satisfying feeling and I was literally shouting at the pages at that point! 😂 However, that satisfying feeling didn’t last long because there were a few more turning points in the story that really had me suspending my disbelief because it is WILD, y’all. Seriously. W-I-L-D! I mean, I greatly admire Pippa’s character and wow, did I learn a lot from her situation and how she handled it (cough you know, for if ever I find myself in a similar situation one day—JOKES cough) but this was not the direction I thought her story would go and neither was I really keen on it? Without giving anything away, the situation escalates very quickly and then continues to escalate to the point that it’s no longer realistic. That said, a small part of me did understand (to a point) how it escalated the way it did especially considering how bad Pip’s PTSD is. It was heartbreaking to see her struggle to cope though. The ending is where another star was deducted for me because I felt like by that point Pippa had really been through enough and she deserved better than what she got. It was an overall satisfying conclusion though with the stories told in the previous books tying up pretty neatly and all the questions that were asked were also answered. I’m sad to see this series end because it has been one heckuva thrilling ride but I’m so looking forward to seeing what else Jackson comes up with in the future!

so so good xx
This book ends on a very very big cliffhanger I just wish there was another book so we could see if Pip gets her life back and if she gets back with Ravi. This was such a great book and I was hooked from the very beginning I just didn’t expect what happened to have happened it shocked me so such much. The characters in this book were all written well and were done so so well I really enjoyed all the details in this book as they were such much detail put into the final book. I cried at the end when Pip and Ravi split up as I didn’t except that to happen at all it broke my heart as you watched them grow up together from book 1. The ending was so heartbreaking as Pip was living a life she didn’t wanna live and she left family and friends behind to protect them which I thought was such a beautiful and sad touch. Xxx
