You don't have to look further for the "best" tuner; this is it! If you need a spot-on tuner, that will work on your bass-guitar, regular acoustic or electric guitar, or even your flute or clarinet, then this is the one to get. I have tried it on all of these, and it provides perfect tune in all. I've owned tuners from almost all major manufacturers, and while some come close to the Strobo-clip HD, none have been able to match its speed, accuracy and legibility. It's fantastic to have no lag-time in display, or doubt about which direction to turn the tuning knobs, or in the case of my clarinet, how far in or out to adjust the mouthpiece for a perfect B-flat reference tone. Likewise, for my flute, which on occasion requires a check of the mouthpiece tube/body insertion point. I was hesitant to spend more than the usual amount for a tuner, but some others are nearly as expensive, yet are not nearly as good. I've read a very few bad reviews, but when the source was considered, I realized I had to try a Strobo-Clip for myself. I'm extremely delighted that I did. Now I have a benchmark with which to calibrate all my other tuners, which are mostly of the sound-hole type (Korg Rim-Clip and a smaller one from D'Addario). These can work well on-stage, but can be fussy about where they are placed on the sound hole. Not so with the Strobo-Clip, which works anywhere you can clip it on.! Well, nuff said, take a chance (and with Amazon's easy return policy there is no real difficulty) and try one for yourself... You'll probably come to the same conclusion I did; why didn't I buy a Strobo-Clip years ago? The other features of this product are also great (like sweetened tuning and altered tuning, but honestly, it is alone worth the price just to have the easy of use, and accuracy it provides. Consider poor ratings of this tuner as either extremely rare instances of an issue with the tuner, or more often, improper operation by the end-user. I have had no issues, and the battery-life is certainly as good as any other tuner I've ever had. That is to say, turn it off when you're done; don't wait for auto-shutdown. All in all it'l the best clip-on tuner money can buy, and a bargain when that is considered.

Peterson Strobe tuners have always been known to be very accurate [imo and of many other Musicians] and subsequently with a clip-on tuner, the accuracy has been transferred to a compact, easy to read and easy to use unit for stringed instruments! I have used and/or own other clip-on tuners but this device seems to deliver the accuracy that I've wanted for some time now! I love it and would recommend it to everyone who owns a stringed instrument to try it and see/hear the results. It took one pass through with tuning to become familiar with the tuner, so ease of use wasn't a problem for me and it is very clear to read when clipped on at the headstock of one of my guitars when tuning. Granted, the tuner may be pricey, but the trade-off for accuracy, clarity and ease is a huge plus in my case! I don't think that you will be disappointed, I'm not and I'm a Musician going on 50 years now! Bravo Peterson Strobe tuners!

I really didn't need another tuner. I have the TC polytuner, the boss TU and various others....but I do like gadgets and this strobe tuner promises so much functionality! Of course 90% I won't use but still, somehow I had to have it. Well, you do don't you? So, it does what it says and is well made but the surprise is just how accurate it is. I can hear a difference for the better using the sweetened tuning. Its subtle but definitely there. The capo setting i thought I wouldn't need I use all the time. That function alone makes this a worthwhile purchase for me. The display is clear in all lighting situations and menu system is logical. At this price it is a luxury, a much cheaper tuner will still do a good enough job, but if you want to treat yourself and have a mix of instruments, frequently move capo position or change tunings then you won't regret buying it. Highly recommended.
