GEEKPRO EOV1 4K HD Dual Screen WiFi Waterproof 12MP Action Camera Sports Video Cam Underwater Camcorder

I originally bought a geekpro 4.0 from this seller. It had some issues with recording for the ten minutes but then shutting off completely. I tried different fully charged batteries and different micro sd cards. I was happy with the quality but was frustrated with the functionality. I returned it and bought the EOV1 and it has been like night and day. The quality is so good my computer can't keep up. And no more shutting off! In my experience the phone app also works better with the EOV1 than with the 4.0. As far as comparing it to a GoPro most of my friends who have older Gopros are impressed with the geekpro.I am having issues with the quality of the waterproof case not being actually waterproof as I took it to a lake and briefly dunked the camera in and found water inside that appeared to be more than condensation. This is the only reason I gave 4/5 stars. I am not worried because a bundle of items that include another waterproof case is around $20..As far as it being shockproof, Someone dropped it accidentally off a 8 foot ladder and it landed on flat concrete: the camera recorded it all.The seller Depond has been very supportive. I would buy again and am planning on buying some cameras as gifts. Don't hesitate. GET ONE!

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this Geekpro for a summer vacation around China and Inner Mongolia, as I knew I would be doing a lot of horseback riding and going on many adventures. I considered a GoPro, but after much research, I realize that for the price and quality of the video, the Geekpro seemed a wiser choice. 4K, wide angle lense, many accessories, and WiFi options, all for a fraction of the cost of a GoPro - need I say more?Well, I am thrilled to report that this little camera held up - horseback riding, mountain climbing, and even camel riding! The case seems very secure and well-made, and is easily attached to many of the included mounts. The software is easy to navigate, too, and I became quickly familiar with switching modes, viewing videos and photos, etc. The battery lasts at least an hour, with a screen saving option to reduce excess battery use. I bought this camera primarily for shooting videos, and the quality was excellent! I have included a video of me riding a camel shot from the Geekpro for you to see for yourself. (I muted the video so you didn't have to hear my talking about how much I liked my camel, haha.) I recorded in 1080P to save space on my memory card, but the 4K works great too.*** *UPDATE* I just watched the uploaded video and noticed that Amazon GREATLY reduced the quality, the actual video looks 100x better/clearer than this***My only recommendation for a buyer would be to buy a head-mount for this camera - I feel it is the best way to record videos. You can buy a GoPro head mount, it works just fine for this little camera, too.I will be taking this on my scuba adventures, too. Maybe I will update then. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I highly recommend buying this camera, as it is an excellent (if not better * wink wink *) alternative to the GoPro.

***UPDATE 9/24/2016*** It's been roughly four months since I purchased the GeekPro EOV1; unfortunately, it now won't turn on. I've swapped out batteries and confirmed that batteries have been charged. Amazon customer support was very helpful in providing me with the steps needed to contact the seller._______________________________________________________________________________________________________________Photo quality is decent, about average for what I was expecting. I've been recording at 1080/60 with fantastic results.I have a 32GB and a 64GB memory card that I've been using. Both are Sandisk class 10 and with both cards, the 4K video is choppy. I read that this was a problem prior to purchasing, but I am happy with the video quality I am getting at the 1080 level.The mounts are pretty good. I did break the lock device on one trying to remove the camera from its base. This prompted me to go out and look at the GoPro mounting hardware and there is a quality difference, GoPro's being physically and visually better.If you're an average user and just looking for a device to capture video of life events to share wth family and friends, this device offers the best bang for the buck. If you are a serious videographer, I would suggest spending the extra money for some of the higher end brands. With electronic devices, you absolutely get what you pay for.

If your camera is still working, good for you. I've only used this camera 3 times for less than 15 minutes and it's already dead. Today when I tried to turn it on, the geekpro splash screen popped up and then the screen went black. Normally the live feed shows up when on- now only the front lcd is lit yet nothing happens when pressing the record button. Removing the battery and letting it sit didn't do anything, trying a different battery gave the same results. Now I have a $100 paper weight which is a shame because when it worked, the video quality was surprisingly decent. Hopefully I can figure out some sort of replacement because I would really like to give this camera another shot.

I love this little camera. I have never used any other type of action camera so I can not relate it to others. I bought this camera for my trip to Maui Hawaii and I intended to get good fotage of underwater life. I have had so much fun out here over the last week that i even put down my spearfishing pole and picked up the camera I have filmed green sea turtles and needlefish all kinds of tropical fish and when I put the videos on my computer I was amazed at the quality of the video. it was amazing. I felt like I could see better through the camera than my goggles. hehe.. I really really recomend this camera for video to anyone looking for a small lightweight camera. I will be using this for hiking and for hunting as well I am very happy with this purchase.
