WINMAU Vecta Polycarbonate Dart Stems - 1 set per pack (3 shafts in total)

Tough one to review - my darts clearly fly better and straighter with these over standard stems but at the same time they are quite brittle - darts tend to bounce out when they hit the end of another dart rather than sliding down and into the board. Over the course of an evening I get maybe 10 bounce outs like this versus at most 1 with standard stems. Also when a dart hits the end of another dart it's quite likely to break the part that holds the flight. I went through a full set of these in under 2 hours and I don't want to have to buy new stems every time I throw a few darts in the garage. If you play competitively and the 3 quid on stems every game isn't an issue then they are a very nice stem to use - more balanced, better grip, darts fly straighter. If like me you just have a board in the garage you'll probably want something a bit more durable. One good thing though is that until they break the flights don't seem to ever come out. We're all familiar with the dart hitting the board next to another dart and the flight pinging off - but that may be because they are more likely to bounce out. So it's a 5 star for better stability of dart and a 2 stars for longevity and 3 stars for too many bounce outs so I'll give it a generous 4 overall.
