Pro's and Con's, would buy again
These are amazing in terms of calorie intake. I just started keto and I wondered what I was going to do with my pasta obsession so... decided to try these. I don't know a lot of asian recipes but I know italian recipes so this is what I did: Opened the package. Put them on a strainer under water and moved them around to rinse them. The smell is kind of nasty but once you rinse them the smell is gone. Put them in a hot pan with a bit of olive oil and sprinkled some salt and black pepper on top and moved them around with a spatula to get rid of any liquid. Then used a low carb alfredo sauce with mushrooms and cooked and chopped some bacon on the side. Topped them off with Parmesan cheese. BAM! The texture takes a bit to get used since it feels rubbery but they don't really taste like anything once you cook them with other stuff. All I could taste was bacon, Alfredo sauce, and Parmesan cheese. I found it one of the most satisfying meals I've had since I started keto. I must admit I did get some intestinal cramps later that day but I am not used to having a very high in fiber diet. It is the same type of cramps I've had when eating things high in fiber, like almond meal for example. Also, I should say I ate a whole bag in one sitting so managing your intake on these might make a difference. My bowel movements that night were fantastic though, so there's that. You might want to take it slow with these when you first get them. I've seen a lot of people comment that they made them ill - you might just not have the stomach for it. All in all, I will continue to eat these in moderation and perhaps a bit more once I get used to a high fiber content without the cramps. Their nutritional value is amazing for how satisfying they are. I saw there is a "Better than pasta" brand but I have not tried it. If anyone care to commend I'd love to see a comparison.

I liked them but they didnโt like me
Made these noodles in a stir fry with all kinds of veggies and herbs and peanut sauce. It tasted amazing and the noodles really were like rice noodles Iโd order in a restaurant. If I had bothered to google the listed side effects of them, I would have been fair-warned about the impending โLoose stools, bloating and flatulenceโ. It was a beautiful meal that I even bothered to take a photo of, but followed all too soon by subtle bloating that quickly increased in intensity, that turned uncontrollable, vile, hot farts like you wouldnโt believe. I lit candles all around my house to combat the horrendous smell I couldnโt believe was coming out of me. Then it was just really painful bowel movements for like 4+ hours. I went to bed afraid to move under the blanket holding down all the sins of the Konjac noodle. Iโve never had anything like this happen to me and am still struggling the day after. If you want to try these anyway, take my advice: Enjoy them alone, and maybe donโt buy in bulk like I did. ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ

Amazing! The oat fiber makes all the difference!
I wish I could use neon to draw attention to this delicious pasta. After trying several brands of shirataki noodles sold at the natural food markets in my areaโsome with tofu and some withoutโas well as the Miracle brand from Amazon and from ShopRite (you can find it in the natural/organic foods aisle), I stumbled on the Better Than version at an oriental market. Iโve since tried all three kinds I could findโthe Noodles (the thickness of angel hair), the Pasta (like spaghetti), and the Riceโand I canโt get enough of them. Theyโre so much more like real pasta than the other brands! Not gelatinous, translucent, sticky, or rubbery, they come out of the inner bag golden and dense, thanks to the brilliant addition of oat fiber, which also means youโre getting 4 grams of dietary fiber per serving. The product is packaged in very little water, and the fishy aroma some find objectionable is much less noticeable. Just dry fry it, then prepare it as you would normal pasta. My only reservation is that itโs a product of China; Iโm not sure I would have tried it if it wasnโt certified USDA organic. So glad I did! Three servings in a package? Bah! Dinner for one is more like it. At 15 calories a serving, whoโs counting? If youโre like meโwith an almost lifelong avoidance of carbs but a deep love of pastaโyou have to try Better Than. It knocks all the other shirataki noodles out of the park. I'm stocking up and buying more to give to friends.

My Go-To For Low Carb
These are my go-to noodles for my low-carb meals. They are low-carb but they are also very low in protein they are high in fiber. The texture is a bit chewy and they don't absorb a lot of flavor. This noodle is mostly for filling because you can eat the whole bag in one meal and not worry about carbs. I use it for ramen, and spaghetti and it is best for stir fry. You have to rinse this noodle very well or boil it a little before you use it because it has a peculiar fishy smell.

Good idea but bad stomach pains. Hard to digest.
This product has a very good idea to hello those who are in low carb diets like keto. My stomach can handle Better Than Rice. But the noodles are something else. After being on keto got sometime I needed something different. I tried these noodles and my stomach pained so bad. After releasing my bowels it was discovered that the noodles were all still in one piece. My body could not digest them. Not sure why. I've had 2 packages with the same results. My cousin also tried them with the same results. I suggest trying one packet before buying them in bulk. I have 3 packets left over and are going to go to waste.

Definitely Different, BUT Definitely Delicious!
These noodles are definitely different...but definitely delicious, and filling. I could binge on noodles, like ramen noodles, etc. But these have a different taste and texture that take a bit of getting used to. Once I got over the novelty, I found that I do like it very much. I can't eat wheat any longer and have missed pasta and noodles. Vegetable noodles just aren't the same. These are the best that I have tried. I agree with another reviewer, it must be the oat flour that lessens the rubbery texture and improves the flavor. I don't really notice any fishy smell when I rinse them...though I must admit I try NOT to...I'm pretty sensitive to smells before eating. But I will definitely purchase these again since they help me keep my carbs down even more than other gluten free pasta and noodles. This is an excellent product even if it did take me a little time to get used to the different texture...perhaps a Western thing, or just me, but I do like them!

did not work for me
Make sure you hold your breath when you open the inner bag. The smell was so incredibly awful. Let's just say it should not be the smell of ... food. I had to open the windows to let it air out for a long time. It does wash off but not after a few seconds - after may be one or two minutes so be patient (either leave the area or keep on holding your breath during this time if you insist on being around). The texture is indeed rubbery. I wasn't a fan of it; BF said it didn't bother him. The 1 star was mostly not due to the above reasons though. The worst part for me was it did not do the job of noodles. Yes the calories are low; yes the carbs are low and yes I was still hungry after eating about 3/4 of a package. It didn't give me the satisfying feeling of eating noodles, at all. Afterwards I had to eat basically the same amount of food that I normally eat. So I ended up eating what I normally eat + these fake noodles that didn't work.*sigh*. So to sum up, sadly they didn't work for me. I am sure different people's bodies work differently so they may work for you...

Really Enhancing My Life as a Keto Dieter
I have probably purchased about 6 cases of the pasta, angel hair, and rice at this point. I am on a keto diet and this is my only opportunity to have a LOT of food (I like to eat!) with few calories and almost no carbs. I recommend this to all my keto buddies, including my friend who is recovering from a brain tumor. A few fine points: 1) I have tried other brands, including the 'miracle noodles', and I found them much less pleasant. Miracle noodles became mushy and stuck to the pan at high heat. These hold their form well and have more of a 'doughy' texture. 2) Everyone complains about the smell. Quit it and enjoy the fact that you can actually eat pasta on a no carb diet. 3) I use these to make fried rice, lo mein, ramen, add them to other soup, or add some parmesan, olive oil, and red pepper. I'm including a picture of the ramen i make with these - it's delicious. 4) I find if I heat them over a high heat, using high heat oil (grapeseed or avacado) until they dry up a bit, then add gluten free soy sauce, it coats them nicely. You can even eat them on their own this way for a guilt free late night snack. I know I sound like the ultimate fan boy - please know I've received no free products for this review and that my excitement comes from having lost 30 lbs in the last six months with these as a near daily food (and just walking, no additional exercise). I am happy to share my enthusiasm with the world! (photo recipe is a ramen with Better than Pasta, home-made grass-fed beef bone broth, scallion, mushroom, egg, kimchi (for spice), and a few fried slices of Trader Joes pre-cooked pork belly).

Certainly not better than noodles
Think of eating hard string and this comes close. If you can force them down, they are filling. Iโm just stuck with a cupboard load.
