Beautiful coarse sand
This is not fine sand nor is it small gravel. It's large sand. It is pretty easy to work with unlike sand and is easy on the bottom dwellers unlike gravel. Naturally colored it will bleed out a little while preparing. I did several rinses and soaks over 2 days before putting in the tank. It sparkles under the light but with no glare. vacuums pretty easily, you will get some up the tube but just let it sink to the bottom of the bucket, pour out and pinch it back into the tank. Simples. Would re-order again. This is the only thing IMO that competes with Carib Sea Supernaturals Peace River which is the perfect substrate in all situations. Just hard to fine and boring in color.

Great product, just don't expect "black" black
My favorite brand of substrate, comes pre washed so I don't have to worry about that. Just know that it isn't solid black. It looks black in the bag but once you get it I'm your tank and add water it's more like a speckled look, I'll see if I can find a photo. But good none the less. I might try some of the other colors since I know I won't get that black color I was looking for. But I'll still use the same brand

A Nice Fine Gravel.
Looks exactly as it should. It needed a good rinsing but that was expected. Black enough for me. Don't care about sparkles. Some reds and browns give it some contrast. This works for me.

Clouded Water
I did not have a great experience with this product. One thing to know is that it wasn't entirely the product's fault but somewhat my fault. This product was called "Gravel", and it is very different from gravel in the sense of size. The individual pieces are similar to sand, and it clogged my filter, and even know I am going back and forth from the sink filling up buckets to dump into the huge tank to the keyboard. This is a real nuisance. That part was a bit my fault for not being more careful and a bit their fault for not being clearer. However, that was not the only problem. The product says triple washed so I did not rinse it off before putting it into the tank. I probably should have though because it clouded the water terrible and pretty much turned the water gray. On a better note, before I redid the tank it looked prettier than ever with this stuff at the bottom. I recommend pairing this in a freshwater goldfish tank with sinking driftwood and lily pads/water lettuce or water hyacinths. This product was also very easy to use by simply cutting of the top corner to pour. This product also had a surprisingly good price to weight comparison. To conclude I had an alright experience with this product

Does what it’s supposed to and like good I. The process
Perfect consistency for Cory’s slight coarser than a true sand but close. Color is a true black with “sparkling “ crystal dispersed throughout. I did need to rinse before adding to aquarium but I did so about 3lbs at a time. And after only a few minutes was able to add to an existing aquarium by using a solo cup to transport it to the bottom and spread it out over my existing gravel with no noticeable change in water clarity. Yes a few stray grains floated around for a few hours but the water remained clear and I was never concerned about harm to the fish. In the end does what it’s supposed to do at reasonable price and looks good doing it

Black sand
Great product! You still have to clean sand before putting into tank but has a very good look

Magnetic
Tbh I thought this stuff would be more sandy. It’s like a wack middle of gravel and sand. Easy to rinse though, but for whatever reason it is magnetic. I learned that with my magnet algae cleaner and ended scratching my tank on accident, so heads up.

Llego a tiempo

Sharp, not suitable for bottom dwellers. Green, not black.
Not suitable for bottom dwellers. Extremely sharp, I even cut my hand while rinsing! Some pieces are long, thin. It’s also not even black - it’s about 50% green, with occasional earth-tone pieces. Wish I’d trusted the forums and steered away, but I was eager for a black sand-like substrate. I’ll go back to using enamel-coated silicon sand for now. All grains you see in the photos are from the bag I ordered. Photos taken outside in the shade (natural light). Would return but I left it too long. Might use for my shrimp instead, after more research.

Looks amazing. Low dust to rinse out.
Love this substrate. It's like a fine gravel. Great for shrimps and corydoras. Really makes plants and shrimps etc pop.

Excelente calidad
En mi caso fue una excelente opción para mi gambario, les recomiendo leer las instrucciones de uso para su correcto funcionamiento, ya que veo mucho comentarios negativos. Lo recomiendo ampliamente si su intención es tener gambas, platas o peces pequeños.
