Disappointing
Arrived promptyly and was a great price but the die I received did not cut the matt board as cleanly and nicely as the other Eileen Hull dies I have. I could feel and see a bumpiness to the long edge cuts. Odd. Decided this would be very aggravating long term so regrettably decided to return it.

flawed!
Bought this die, very dissapointed, this is flawed and the finished product actually shows all the mat board around all the edges which looks very very tacky (scruffy)Zoom into the photo of this and look close its actually a mess and totally unsuitable as a gift and certainly not a saleable product..(zoom in on the photo and take alook).

Poorly thought out
This is the strangest die, it could have offered a huge amount of room for a lot more photos, given that there are 3 spines once assembled, however, only the center spine is designed for page inserts (if you use the coordinating hidden hinge binding die you will be able to have five pocket pages). At best, you could fit 15-20 photos which is very limiting considering how large this album is with the double flaps. I already had a waterfall die from spellbinders (Tammy Tutterow) which worked with this so that can fill up one of the inside covers but there is a large amount of empty space with the other sections of the covers that can only be utilized if you create a tiered pocket to place photos into. This is supposed to be a "folio" which implies lots of room for photos and this just wasn't designed as a die to create that for you. You'll be on your own figuring out what kind of other elements to place on those empty inside covers (pocket flaps etc.). I thought the whole point of this was to offer a complete set of 3 dies that allows you to make an entire mini album for photos so you wouldn't have to do a lot of measuring for all that you need to fill it up. Maybe Sizzix would come up with some better add-on dies to go with this album die in the future. The other thing that really bothers me about this die is that there are holes in the folded spine where the two covers are glued together which assumes you will be using elastic to secure your pages with, which I don't want in my spine because I bought the coordinating die that gives you the hidden hinge binding system for attaching pages to the spine without needing to use elastic cording (I really did not like that method from the traveler's notebook die). If you're going to come out with a product, why add holes, that will have to be covered with something (8 holes that serve no purpose)? It just makes the finished album look odd, esp. if you plan to give it as a gift.
