Great mandolin slicer
The main blade is so sharp! We like the attachments that came with the slicer. We've already cut up cucumber and many potatoes into small french fries. We like that we can change how thick our slices are and keep them consistent. We also used the attachment that holds whatever your cutting. Never had an issue with losing whatever was getting cut, the spikes work great. Also, we didn't have to worry about the spikes getting caught in the blade. I'd highly recommend this blade over others as we did try a cheaper alternative that couldn't adjust the height of what was being cut. Speaking of comparisons, the quality of this mandolin slicer is leagues better than other slicers we've tested. It's not made out of cheap plastic like other slicers. We can see ourselves easily using this slicer forever (until we need a new blade that is =) )

Durable and Dependable
I recently purchased the White Mandoline, and while it may be on the pricier side, its durability and performance have exceeded my expectations. The first thing that caught my attention was its sleek, modern design. The white finish adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen, making it a visually appealing addition to my culinary arsenal. What truly sets this mandoline apart is its durability. It's built to last, with high-quality materials that can withstand the test of time. I've used it extensively, and it still performs flawlessly, with no signs of wear and tear. One of the standout features is the precision it offers. The adjustable slicing thickness allows for perfect cuts every time. Whether I'm slicing delicate vegetables for a salad or preparing thicker slices for gratin, the White Mandoline delivers consistent results. Safety is paramount when using mandolines, and this one doesn't disappoint. It comes with a safety guard that keeps your fingers out of harm's way while ensuring you can use every last bit of your produce. Cleaning is a breeze, thanks to its removable parts and dishwasher-safe components. This convenience is a time-saver in the kitchen. While the White Mandoline may be pricier compared to some alternatives, its durability, precision, and safety features make it a worthwhile investment for serious home cooks and culinary enthusiasts. If you're looking for a mandoline that will stand the test of time and consistently deliver excellent results, I highly recommend the White Mandoline. In summary, the White Mandoline may come with a higher price tag, but its durability and performance make it an excellent addition to any kitchen. It's a reliable tool that simplifies food preparation and ensures precise, consistent slicing. If you're willing to invest in quality kitchen equipment, the White Mandoline won't disappoint.

This was a really great choice so glad I bought it
This is my second mandolin. I wanted to upgrade and chose this one. It’s perfect and I’m glad I made the choice. It’s made well. The plate is sharp and I especially like the Dial on the bottom. It helps me know how thick my slices will be.

Size up
This is the best slicer you can get. Works great and washes easily. The blade is incredibly sharp, so be very careful and safe. I cut myself being careless with it. Always use the provided guard. This size is a little small making it a difficult to slice larger onions, tomatoes, and lettuce for example without cutting them into smaller pieces. So if you are worried about that, size up.

Good quality. just a little narrow for large vegetables like cabbage.
High quality despite it's appearance. I wish had brought the wider one.

Fine Japanese engineering
It is exceedingly well designed: the curved grip works well, the bowl catch works well, the finger guard effortlessly slots itself into position such that the final strokes run on the base as a track, and then there's the completely understated but excellent decision to bevel the edges at the bottom, so the guard pulls away easily there, after the blade. It is very easy to slice very quickly very soon after first use. I'm reviewing for a home cook perspective, and I think it's a long overdue purchase - on it's maiden voyage I sliced about 1.5kg potatoes for boulangeres, and had finished in a couple of minutes at most. By hand I'd have still been going ten minutes later, and probably cut myself from not having bothered to sharpen the knife for too long. On the point of sharpening, I like that Benriner sell the julienne blade attachments separately as replacements, and the main slicing blade can be removed for sharpening. My only criticism would be that I think the level adjustment could be clearer: if lowering the table (thicker slice) you have to push down slightly as you go, or else back-off the adjustment a lot, push it down, then tighten to creep back up (gradually thinner) to the desired level. With some spring pre-load above the table, that issue would be eliminated. It would also be helpful if there were some indication of thickness other than eyeballing it and running test slices - a marked .5mm scale dial on the side say, transparent with the table as its own indicator. All in all though, very very good.
