Women's Gatsby Linen Cloche Hat with Lace Band and Flower

Coolest hat ever, love it.

I purchased this hat for a Kentucky Derby Party. In the past, it's been difficult to find a hat that fits my small head, doesn't interfere with a custom hearing device I have to wear behind my ear, and still looks flattering. This cloche hat fixed all those problems. It's very cute without being overpowering or flopping down by my ear. It's also very well made from a linen material that looks classy. I've been able to wear it comfortably for long periods of time (14 straight hours at the Kentucky Derby!) for both dressy and casual events over the summer, and it has retained its shape. The only thing I would have the manufacturer change about these cloche hats is to size the band but NOT AFFIX it or the flower to the hat. (Currently both the band and the flower are hot glued on. Luckily the manufacturer doesn't use a ton of hot glue, though.) I've detached mine so that I can add various colored bands and/or flowers to coordinate with different outfits. A word of caution...I ordered what I thought was the same style hat in black (the one without the flower) for a friend to wear to her son's wedding. The flowerless hats are cute, but ARE NOT THE SAME STYLE CLOCHE HATS. Rather they're bucket hats with a slightly larger brim, and are made with woven straw - not linen. Unfortunately, the woven-straw hat was too casual-looking for the wedding. But, my friend loved the style of it for a sunhat - just not in black (Texas gets too hot for black). She also loved the style of my cloche for the wedding. So upon returning the bucket-style flowerless hat, I ultimately purchased 2 hats for her: a black cloche-style with flower in black (for the wedding) and a bucket-style hat in a lighter tone for her to wear as a sunhat. Lucky Her!
