This scrub has quickly become a staple in my self-care routine, and it has done wonders for my skin. So I suppose that one might reasonably presume that I'm far too old to start adopting a skin care routine but I'm hoping that in reality, you're never too old. I'm 50 years of age (51 all but 4 weeks) but I think I've been lucky enough to have been handed down some pretty good genetics and frequently will pass for 6 or 7 years younger, nothing to get TOO excited about, granted, but I'll take it! Anyway, I thought that I'd start try to implement some self care measures that might hopefully extend my "youthful" appearance a little while longer. So this is the product I started with, I wanted something that would smell nice but something that would also not be halfhearted when it came to exfoliating and preparing my skin for the subtleties of the anti ageing serums and the moisturisers etc. Well, this sea salt scrub does the job brilliantly! Firstly, it does smell nice. It's not what I would call fragrant but it just smells clean and fresh. I'm not convinced about the mango and kiwi claim but to be entirely honest I wouldn't want to smell any more fruity than it already does, which is hardly at all. When it comes to doing the job I bought it for, well it's anything but half hearted! In fact, if you really put your back into it, so to speak, it can be quite brutal...and I mean that in a good way! The salt crystals are quite large and are anything but subtle, but what it does brilliantly is it leaves your skin feeling very clean and wonderfully refreshed. The mango/kiwi oil base that the product is suspended in probably won't be for everyone as it does leave your skin feeling very, well oily, initially. However, this soon dissipates throughout the process of drying yourself off and as already stated, it leaves you feeling very clean and very refreshed, ready for your choice of moisturiser. Personally, I really enjoy using it on my face and neck but again, this may not be for everyone, given it's no nonsense make up. If you're in the market for a face/body scrub or if you just fancy a change, you could do a lot worse than giving this a try. I'll be buying it again, certainly.

When I first bought this Dead Sea scrub I thought it was great bargain at £9.99 for a 500ml jar Plenty of it and certainly has the * scrub feel’ With the Dead Sea body scrub comes a lovely smell of mango and kiwi fruit oils I actually had this on subscribe and save which saves 5% As my sub & save was nearly due, I checked prices and gone up £5.. no way am I paying this, for £15.00 there are so many more decently priced choices Such a shame, as the actual scrub is really good, I did find I had to dig my nails and fingers in to add to the exfoliating sponge. Easy to get it out of the jar, then moves back into place. The item weight is 520g For most skin types including dry Certificated to be organic I use only on my skin, not face Does feel a bit oily as previously mentioned, and difficulty to get off, so could feel tacky after, the aim is trial and error when using amounts Removes dead skin and dead cells Skin feels lovely and smooth afterwards I was very disappointed with the price going up so much, so now make my own scrub by using Epsom Salts and kiwi/ mango essential oils… The Epsom salts are organic and do the same thing. Oddly great! Gets rid of dry skin and whilst it does leave a slight oil it's actually nice after a few seconds (doesn't make your skin look oily) and no need for moisturiser.

Fijne scrub. Doet de job zonder te ruw te zijn. Erg prettig, ook op handen met kloofjes van te veel moeten schrobben na vies werk. Daarna wel crème erop als je een droge huid hebt. Ik ben allergisch voor van alles, maar deze kon ik zonder problemen gebruiken :-)
