Best all-around keyboard for $1000
I owned a Korg M50 for about 4 years, and this board is mainly derived from the M50 with the exception of an updated user interface and some new samples. My M50 stopped working, but I really like Korg so I decided to buy its spiritual successor without hesitating based on how much I liked the M50.What the Krome does better than the M50:-The piano blows me away, play it on some good speakers and be enlightened. It's basically lifted from the more than twice as expensive Kronos-I think it looks better, it has a very clean look as opposed to the M50's kind of awkward rounded buttons and edges-Touch screen is larger than before, with color and added functionality in some placesThings both the M50 and Krome do well:-The touch screen functionality is amazing. Setting up complex combination sounds is effortless as are most other editing tasks. The main reason I stayed with Korg, the touch screens really set them apart from other companies.-The sounds on this board, all in all, are amazing. I'm not in a position to contrast them with other boards, although I'm sure they'd fare quite well. As far as I can tell only a couple news samples have been added and most of the samples remain the same from the M50. This isn't a bad thing because they were good in the first place but it's worth noting. Korg will probably release a new replacement model within a couple years and I imagine it having entirely upgraded samples.-Three pedal inputs allows for a large amount of flexibility - you can have a patch change, volume / parameter pedal and sustain all at the same time if you wishI will remain happy with this board for a long time, assuming I don't run into technical issues like I did with my M50.

I decided to purchase this keyboard cause sure it should sound better then the micro arranger
I purchased a Korg Micro arranger and when I heard the sounds that came out of this keyboard I thought wow. I decided to purchase this keyboard cause sure it should sound better then the micro arranger.................No didn't happen. The user button are just weird and the functions of this keyboard is really made with way to many complications.there is no fill in button none!!!!!!!!!!! never ever seen a keyboard without an automatic fill button. Ever!!!!!!!! then there is no intro or ending button either. So while recording a beat you'll have to do all this work yourself some how............I tried all the different piano sounds on here and wow none actually sounds like an actual piano. I have no idea how this keyboard cost $500 more then the korg micro arranger and the sounds are complete garbage. I read somewhere that you can program some thing or another to get fill sounds, but who has the patience for that ? Korg fan just went out the window.

Cant go wrong for Live Perfrormances
Used it all summer. Has all the great sounds you'll need. The auto drum sequencer is sweet. Its a bit hard to find a decent case under $300 for it though. Too big for alot of them. Do not buy the Korg softcase they sell for a bit over $100 on Amazon. Zipper broke right away.

Great tones, no favorite settings
Great keyboard, light weight and powerful tones. Only issue for me was the favorite function where I could save tones to a favorite bank but I worked around by saving the tones on a user bank
